Wedge Booties: Hot or Not?

It looks like the newest shoe trend this Fall season is the wedge bootie. Not only does it add some inches, it also has a high-fashion air about it, and depending on what style you wear, can look sleek, grunge, vintage, sporty or dressy.

Musician Florence Welch, and Gossip Girl stars Jessica Szohr and Taylor Momsen rock their wedge booties everywhere from the red carpet to the streets of New York City.

They can be worn high, low, laced up, or even open-toe. Check out these 10 wedge booties:
Dolce & Gabbana Wedge Bootie, US$585
Topshop Acorn Wedge Ankle Boots, US$170
Jeffrey Campbell Bandit Suede Wedge Booties, US$150
Urban Outfitters Deena & Ozzy Lace Up Wedge Bootie, US$78
Dollhouse Chala Bootie, US$45
Aldo Tauret, US$80
River Island Brown Ankle Wedge Boots, US$133
Pour la Victoire Chocolate Suede Wedge Platform Booties, US$154
R2 Bauer Bootie, US$45
Ash Ruched Wedge Ankle Boots, US$275

How do you feel about the wedge bootie?

Coming from a guy I would say they are trashy and slutty

HOT HOT HOT! I LOVE the wedge booties. I especially like the ones that have a more sleek and delicate wedge design vs a really clunky wedge.

I am not a fan of wedges except for the summer sandal wedges that you could wear with a sundress. Other than that, I like them as much as i like harem pants....

think these wedges ..the subtle kind in one solid color-- rocks!!!
so I vote yes on the D&G;ones or anything quite similar.
not only do they give the impression of longer legs, it looks very clean and chic when you pair them with pants/leggings of the same color or dark shade...like black on black, dark grey on black etc....
I don't like wedge booties if they stick out like a sore thumb in your outfit or if they look outrageous.

Don't worry, I'm not a wedge hater! Though everyone else seems to be :(

I am actually currently in the market for a pair of black wedge pumps (not booties, just regular wedges). And I have every intention of wearing them when I'm in the ChickAdvisor office so no comments from the wedge haters in the office please! :)

i really don't like wedges too much...
but unfortunately, they're the most comfortable form of heels in existence.

why can't regular heels have more support? :(

Hate them!!!! They remind me of the huge ugly spice girl platforms wedges circa 1990 something... If I was faced with death threats, the Aldo ones could work.

I'm over wedges. I was really excited about them in 2006 but now I shudder a bit when I see someone wearing them. There are some exceptions of course. I think if you want to pull this off, it has to be in a fun way like the bright fuchsia ones.
