Who Wore It Best? 2013 SAG Awards Red Carpet Recap
Another milestone in Rewards Season has come and gone, this time the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. As usual, all eyes were on the red carpet.
Opinions always fly fast and furious over "Best" and "Worst", so this time we're going to shake things up a little and ask you instead: who wore each style statement best?
Two-Toned
Marion Cotillard, January Jones, and Juliana Margulies
My Pick: once again, I have to give the edge to Marion Cotillard. January Jones gave her a run for her money, though.
Navy
Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence (Best Actress/Movie), and Amanda Seyfried
My pick: the detailing on Amanda Seyfried's hem snags her the win.
White
Kerry Washington, Sofia Vergara, and Jayma Mays
My pick: Kerry Washington's corset detail makes this dress memorable.
Pastel Brights
Sally Field, Viola Davis, and Alfre Woodard
My Pick: These ladies prove that you can wear bold colours at any age, but I have to give the edge to Viola Davis this round.
Pink
Freida Pinto, Lea Michele, and Nina Dobrev
My Pick: Freida Pinto takes it for her soft elegant look, which makes Lea's dress too prom-like in comparison and Nina's slender figure look almost uncomfortable.
Red
Kaley Cuoco, Jessica Chastain, and Idina Menzel
My Pick: I think we can all agree that this match-up isn't even a close call. Jessica Chastain wins it hands down!
Edgy Black
Julie Bowen, Anne Hathaway (Best Supporting Actress/Movie), and Jane Lynch
My Pick: I want to choose Anne Hathaway because I just adore her... but Julie Bowen is stealing it for me.
Gold & Silver
Helen Hunt, Jennifer Garner, and Naomi Watts
My Pick: Jennifer Garner looked so smashing in ruby at the Globes that this golden number can't quite live up. Naomi Watts wins this round.
Patterns
Sarah Hyland, Julianne Moore (Best Actress/TV movie), and Claire Danes (Best Actress/TV Drama)
My Pick: I know I'm supposed to pick Julianne Moore here, but I'm not loving the neckline this time.

I don't know why but the makeup looks this year really bugged me! There were a few really gorgeous ones but the dark lips on Claire Danes weren't the best for her and Kaley's hair was soooo unflattering! Also Lea Michele's ombre was a bit last year. | |
Yay! I love judging dresses. My picks for each category are: Marion Cotillard, Amanda Seyfreid, Jayma Mays, Viola Davis, Nina Dobrev, Jessica Chastain, Julie Bowen, Naomi Watts, and Claire Danes. My worsts of the night were Julianne Moore, Kaley Cuoco, Lea Michelle, and January Jones. My most favorite were Marion Cotillard and Julie Bowen and I love Claire Danes dress but the makeup was awful. |
