Would You Wear: Uggs On Your Wedding Day?

Love 'em or hate 'em, I think we can all agree that Uggs, at the very least, are a comfortable pair of shoes. While we all may not enjoy the look of them, they do make for a cozy slip-on. But would you ever wear them to a wedding, more specifically, your wedding?

Most likely, you're reading this now with quite the quizzical look on your face: "Um, excuse me, did you just say, wedding?". Well, yes I did because that's exactly what the Ugg company wants you to do. They have created a bridal collection full of furs, sparkles and sequins for your special day!

Ugg Bailey Bling I Do! (US$225.00)

Ugg Fluff Flip Flop I Do! (US$80)

Ugg Sparkles I Do! (US$190.00)

Now, I'm not sure if these are geared more towards the actual ceremony or as an alternative, comfier option for the reception but either way, I have to say I am not a fan. I am all for comfort but a wedding day is a formal occasion and I think we can all do a little better.

What do you think? Would you ever wear something like this?

I think the flip flops would make good slippers for your honeymoon, and the boots would be great for winter weddings. Not very practical to be wearing furry boots in the spring or summer, no matter how comfy they are.

NO WAY! lol

I wouldn't wear silk white pajamas at my wedding either :P
Just put on a pair of white flats for goodness sake!

I almost feel like if you're going to do Uggs, then go all the way and do the originals, don't cop out and do white ones, feels like cheating!

Personally, I can't stand Uggs in general. I think they're clunky and unflattering. That being said though, I think you could totally pull them off for a wedding, in some specific situation. I am not a huge heels girl in the first place (I like pretty shoes but ultimately I prefer comfort) and if you're wearing a floor length gown where no one would see your shoes anyway, then why not? It could also be a plus for the girl whose groom is shorter than her (not being taller than them in the pics!) AND I had a friend who wore some during her December wedding, but only for the picture taking portion of the day.

Also, I have noticed that TOMS has a wedding section as well. Not too sure I would wear those but they look cute on the little ones...http://www.toms.com/wedding-collection

Thats a crazy idea! Unless you're having a winter wonderland theme, I wouldn't wear these on my special day .

UGH!

The only thing that I don't like about Ugg boots, is that when people wear them - they are constantly dragging and scuffing their feet on the ground. It irritates the heck out of me!

But, those flip flops look REALLY comfortable!

My cousin wore white furry moccasins for her wedding (it was during the Christmas/New Year week). I'm sure she was really comfortable, and she's really outdoorsy so it suited her... but I am too traditionalist so I of course wore regular heels and would never have considered anything else.

I think as a whole look there's absolutely nothing wrong with trying something new, like an outdoor winter wedding wearing a pretty white Arctic-style jacket and boots for example. But a formal gown and UGGs or slippers is just not going to do it for me.

Never! I wouldn't wear them on a regular day, I certainly wouldn't wear them on my wedding day.
