Yay or Nay?: Bell Bottoms
Imagine my surprise/chagrin when I came upon a pair of bell bottoms for sale at Forever 21. 'Huh', I thought, 'are these "in" now or something?'. When did bell bottoms become the new 'it' item for fall? I don't remember that. Apparently, Forever 21 is not alone, I found a pair of denim bell bottoms for sale at Old Navy. It's not just denim and solids flares that are returning either, printed pants- like the floral pattern below have been spotted too!

Celebrities seem to have embraced the bell bottom denim trend. Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie and Katie Holmes have all been spotted sporting this style of denim.

On the one hand, a flare or trouser pant is very flattering- it accentuates all your lovely womanly curves. On the other hand however, a throwback 1960's or 70's bell bottom seems like a bit too much to me. What do you think Chicks? Is this trend a YAY or NAY?

I love bootcuts and flares but the bell bottom is just too much imo, so its a nay for me!
It's a nay for me. I like sleek fine lines :)
Anything that makes my butt look good I'll wear. If the flare isn't too extreme and if the thigh is a slimming cut, you betcha I'd wear these!

Nay. But that's just for me personally. Me being so tall all that fabric on my legs look horrible and I feel like I'm swimming in my pants. I prefer my skinny, straight or occasionally boot leg. But I think if you're slim, petite like a lot of these celebrities and like the hippy/boho look then they can look cute.
