This Yay or Nay- we’re debating a highly controversial trend: The Crop Top. I studied fashion in college and this subject was pretty much a minefield any time it was brought up. On the one hand, we have designers like Alexander Wang who showed the trend on the runway. We also have the celeb followers of the crop top, and these are heavy weights like Rihanna and Diane Kruger. On the other hand, we have the naysayers- those who think it comes off slightly tarty, immature or just plain passé (hello- Clueless in the 90’s!)

I myself own a long sleeve cropped sweater which only shows my stomach if I lift my arms up. I have worn it once or twice with high waisted skirts. I feel like this is the trick to wearing a crop top- balance it out with a high waisted bottom or long skirts.
