Yay or Nay: Elle Fanning Wears Chanel
Normally, I like Elle Fanning's outfits. I respect her as a budding fashionista who takes risks and has no fear when it comes to finding her personal style.
Which is why I am going to attempt to go easy on Miss Fanning though it will be difficult, because this dress is a trainwreck.
It's almost like an old timey porcelain doll's dress that has been made for a full grown human. Check out those major puffy sleeves.
I appreciate that Elle isn't jumping the gun and going for inappropriate super sexy looks, but this is a step way in the wrong direction. With her choker necklace, lilac sandals and her simple makeup and hair she just doesn't look edgy or chic enough to pull this dress off.
What do you think of this outfit? Is Elle cute as a button or looking like a baby doll in all the wrong ways? Leave a comment below by January 13th for your chance to win a prize!

Nay, The dress really swallows her up and does not give much shape.
Nay, I think the puffy sleeves are too much, it swallows her up.
Take away the sleeves and fit the bodice and it would work!

Oh Elle, I can't help you on this one. You look like a reject from Alice in Wonderland. I see I am not even the first person to get that impression on this forum - was she going for Tokyo street style? It does not work on for her.

Nay! First off, the length is, in my opinion, appropriate, however, the dress itself is waaaay to big for her small body frame. Secondly, the puffy sleeves aren't doing her justice; they make her look too childish, although she is still young. the shoes are cute, but not with that dress, if you can call it that.

Nay! I think the puffy sleeves could look good in certain situations, but not here. Cut 'em off and she'd look much better. |
