Yay or Nay: Emily Blunt's Bright Pink Eye Makeup
While we're total fans of playing with brights in your beauty routine, Emily Blunt's neon shadow at the Met Gala has us thinking that pink eye is never, ever a good thing.
Emily Blunt is a gorgeous lady, and this pink shadow is a gorgeous colour, but together a gorgeous face they do not make. All I see with this face is the bright streak of shadow across her eyes. It is way too overpowering. You can't see her beautiful blue-green eyes at all! While I appreciate the punk attempt (as was the theme of the night), I am tres disappointed in Emily.
This is just not doing her justice. I would actually rather see her fresh faced and modern a la Jennifer Lawrence. I will say her skin looks ah-mah-zing and glowy. So, she has that going for her.
What do you think of his look? Is it a yay or a nay? Leave a comment below with your answer and you could win a prize!

I'm a big fan of hers but sadly this is nay.
Nay. Love her as an actress etc and love brights in the summer. But this looks too harsh on her and doesn't suit her skin tone in these pics.
Nay. Too much. | |
NAY! This shadow is just over the top. Maybe she should save it for Halloween instead. It looks as if she had a minor fight with a highlighter, lol.
Nay!That is not flattering at all.
NAAYYY! Any other shade would have been better. That makes her look like she has some sort of illness.
Just. Plain. Awful. | |
I think if you're going to try pink on the eyelids, this is the right hue to go with... but it's not truly wearable at all anyway. It's a yay from me for the occasion (Met Gala) but a nay in every other context.
It's a NAY from me. It seems appropriately edgy for the Met Gala and I totally agree that she's gorgeous and so is her skin but the pink is SO distracting and weird.
NAY!! I'm not a huge fan of brilliant shades like that for eye shadow. Maybe if she was rocking an 80's fit it would work, but not as a high fashion type makeover. |
