Yay or Nay?: Fur Skirt
Last winter and fall, the fur was flying. We saw fur coats, fur shawls and fur scarves. Even faux fox tail key chains for your purses! What about a fur skirt though? Miu Miu (middle) sent a fur skirt down the runway last fall 2010, Tracy Reese (right) had one in her collection for fall 2011, Micheal Kors (left) designed a fur skirt in fall 2010. It works on models on the runway- but could it ever work in reality?
While I love the feel and look of fur and the warmth it provides in winter, I’m not sure that I could pull this look off. I mean, what would you even pair with it? Here are three options that I think could possibly work:
1. Top Shop Battered Sequin Sleeve Tee (C$59.00)
2. Gap Raw-Edge Henley Shirt (C$64.95)
3. 3.1 Phillip Lim Black Chiffon Long Sleeve Melange T-Shirt (US$495.00)
Let me know what you think though- is the skirt wearable? What would you wear it with? Or would you completely pass on it? Leave a comment below- is it a yay or nay for the fur skirt?

Nay.. You'd look like you were turning into some kind of animal. Any fur is ugliness to me.
If you like fur, you like it. But to me personally, it looks awful!
Eh. Yay and nay. I think only certain people can pull it off. Like for me, absolute nay!
MAJOR Yay I love the chic, trendy look of fur!
I think it's a NAY for day-to-day wearability but if you had a fun event in fall or winter, broad shoulders and a slender waist I think it could work. :)
I'm going to have to 'nay' this one as much as I like fur-inspired looks...the extra bulk around the hips just doesn't seem to be worth the fashion kudos!

I don't think the look of fur is for every one and every body. But this skirt can be done very tastefully and with a bold red lip and sleek hair, it screams high fashion!
Nay! | |
Nay, it just totally creeps me out. |
