Yay or Nay?: Fur Skirt

Last winter and fall, the fur was flying. We saw fur coats, fur shawls and fur scarves. Even faux fox tail key chains for your purses! What about a fur skirt though? Miu Miu (middle) sent a fur skirt down the runway last fall 2010, Tracy Reese (right) had one in her collection for fall 2011, Micheal Kors (left) designed a fur skirt in fall 2010. It works on models on the runway- but could it ever work in reality?

While I love the feel and look of fur and the warmth it provides in winter, I’m not sure that I could pull this look off. I mean, what would you even pair with it? Here are three options that I think could possibly work:

1. Top Shop Battered Sequin Sleeve Tee (C$59.00)
2. Gap Raw-Edge Henley Shirt (C$64.95)
3. 3.1 Phillip Lim Black Chiffon Long Sleeve Melange T-Shirt (US$495.00)
Let me know what you think though- is the skirt wearable? What would you wear it with? Or would you completely pass on it? Leave a comment below- is it a yay or nay for the fur skirt?

![]() | Nay...i have wide-set hips so have a hard enough time finding skirts that sit nicely as it is, adding the extra weight of fur would definitely not help |

![]() | I think this look is fun and cool to look at on the runway but realistically.... I don't think I could wear this in my day to day life. |
