Yay or Nay? Gwyneth Paltrow's Stella McCartney Red Carpet Style
To be honest, I have mixed feelings about Gwyneth Paltrow to begin with so I'm going to try and remain neutral and impartial for this yay or nay and present the the evidence as unbiased as possible.
Here's the facts: this dress is different (to say the least) and unusual but I always appreciate the avant garde. However, I almost feel like this dress crosses the line into silliness- why the one sleeve, why the trim and the busy print?
I do like the blue on Gwyenth- definitely her colour and the length is fabulous on her long legs! But what's with the wacky hemline? I'm not crazy about the cross over neckline either- I think an open neckline on Gwen would be much more flattering.
All in all, I always like to give kudos to any brave lady who dares to go all out with fashion. What do you think, is this a fabulous fashion risk or should her stylist be fired? Is this a yay or nay? Leave us a comment by December 4th to win a prize!

Nay! Nice colour but way tooooo busy! The cut is terrible!
I was going to say that I liked this dress, however, the hemline is what drove me to a big NAY. I could have lived with the one sleeve and busy print but the hemline is a big wackadoo!

Nay !! | |
Nay. The lack of symmetry is not done in a flattering way. Almost, but almost doesn't count.
A definite NAY. While she does have the figure for a slim dress like that, and she certainly has the legs for a short dress, I don't care for the hemline or the neckline at all. As well, I find the pattern just too much for such a small amount of material.
Nay! I love the pattern, but not so much of it and definitely not that cut. Kudos for trying something unique though. |
