I love vintage clothing and am a known thrifter, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Mad Men is one of my favourite shows. With so many shots of beautiful and well made vintage styles, that show is a feast for the eyes! 

One of my favourite characters is Betty, played by the gorgeous January Jones. January has impeccable style and grace so I was surprised to see her take such a wrong turn with this outfit.

It's not really a terrible ensemble, it's just so not working for her. I think Ms. Jones took a risk with this hot pink playsuit and I don't think it paid off. She went with a nod to mod peter pan collar and 60's inspired eye makeup and hair. Since you know how much I appreciate old school styles, you'd expect that I'd be all over this, but I just don't think it suits her.

The colour is too brash on her skin, the silhouette swallows up her slim frame and the makeup is a little overdone for her features. She is so naturally pretty, it totally overtakes her face. All I notice are those huge fake lashes!
