Yay or Nay: Lily Collins at Met Gala 2012
I will freely admit that Lily Collins is my very latest, and hugest girl crush. She reminds me of a fresh faced, modern Audrey Hepburn. I think it's those fabulous and natural eyebrows that get me. Ms. Collins is a rising star at the moment. But as Snow White in the anticipated movie Mirror, Mirror, I think Lily is poised to become a major force to be reckoned with.
As such a young, emerging starlet, you'd think that Lily would be glamming it up. However, it seems maybe she took some inspiration from Taylor Swift at last fashion week and she pulled a major dowdy, victorian-esque look. Lily, this is my message to you: I am not pleased.
From the neck up, Lily looks incredible. Her makeup and hair is simple but elegant. Her eyes are gorgeously framed and she looks like she's glowing. From the neck down, it's a different story. This dress is awful. Too much fabric, too high of a collar and long sleeves, why all the covering up, Lily? Show off that body of yours!
This dress reminds me of a pair of ugly curtains in a depressing second hand store. I just cannot for the life of me figure out why Lily chose this outfit. It makes me so sad to see her look so frumpy. Next time, Lily, have some fun with your outfit. Go with colour and a bolder pattern and show some skin, lady!
What do you think of this outfit? Am I right? Is this one a yay or a nay? Leave a comment with your vote by May 20th for your chance to win a prize!

Nay! I would have said she dresses like my grandma, but even my grandma would think this is way too cheesy. She could have shone in a more age-appropriate outfit.

Nay! It is not a very flattering outfit.
Naaaaay. That style works as a blouse maybe, but not a whole dress. Just too much granny there. |
