I actually count myself as a fan of Ms. Nicole Richie. I like that beneath her steely fashionista exterior, it's still the girl who played sidekick to Paris Hilton on The Simple Life. I like that she's funny and personable while still always looking adorable chic and playing up her assets.

Well, that's what I believed until I saw this outfit. I cannot stand this dress. I know it really isn't all that bad, I mean, it could definitely be worse; just take a look at some of the fashion disasters from the Oscars or Golden Globes. However, I think I expected way more from Richie, so, this dress makes me pretty disappointed.

I'm not a fan of the belt, the colour of the dress, the cut or the draping. Is it just me or does this yellow age her and make her look a bit sickly? I also cannot stand this hair style on Nicole. I've seen bobs pulled off well (i.e Rose Bryne) but Nicole, this one isn't for you. On the plus side, her eye make up is divine, she always knows how to make those peepers pop!

Her hair should have been done for the occasion, but with that dress on, I guess it wouldn't have really mattered, it would have took away from her looks anyway. She might have been able to pull it off, if she was wearing taller heels and the if the top part of her dress, had come up more near her tummy or just a little below, but the way it is, she's looks like a mess.
