Yay or Nay: Rita Ora wears Alexander McQueen
When I think of Rita Ora, I think of what a love child between Gwen Stefani and Rihanna would be like. She has that Stefani trademark blonde bombshell hair and retro inspired makeup look. And yet in her fashion choices, she's all Riri (and maybe a bit of Gaga thrown in?) with bold colours and patterns. You'd think that with two powerhouse style ladies mixed together you'd get something double awesome, right?
Well, maybe not so much. Take a look at this outfit that Rita wore at the 2012 MOBO Awards at Echo Arena in Liverpool.
This dress is so close to being cute, it's actually painful.
The embroidered florals and the 3D flower details are adorable and sweet, and even though I'm not usually a fan of the ballet inspired tutu skirt, this works. The shoes and jewelry are a bit OTT (over the top), but gold layers are a Rita signature. My issue with this dress is that bizarre napkin-esque neckline. Like a lobster bib? A halter, a deep V or pretty much anything else would have looked better. Why they went with that is beyond me.

Yay, looks good on her. | |
NAY. Way too much going on in the front and way too high in the back.
Nay! That dress is just too busy for me! I think it would look great in a different print or as a solid.
NAY!! The neckline is terrible, although the bottom half is not bad. As a hole it's not favorite of mine.
absolutely a nay, I'm not a daring girl.
