Every year I resolve to do more for my health. Not being strict enough to go completely over the top with my health resolutions, I tend to pick a new, very achievable goal every couple of months in the hopes of turning it into a long term habit.

For example:

(1) start eating kale (yessss! where have you been all my life??)
(2) eat less bread (#sadface. Am waiting for the garlic...

I'm a mom of three, so you know I've seen it all. One of the funniest parenting experiences I have had was the pleasure of introducing my babies to solid foods.

New parents sometimes ask me: "How do you know when your baby is ready for solid foods?" Trust me, you just know. Babies go from oblivious, cooing non-participants to eagle-eyed gluttons who will snatch greedily at your fork...

I think after the horrible winter we had this year, we all deserve a little pick-me-up pressie, don't you?

Mine came in the mail recently from an online spending binge: a gorgeous black sleeveless top with a bit of a peplum-y flare at the waist. And while I was at it, I tossed a chunky statement necklace into my e-cart, too.

Totally deserved, like I said.

It jump-started my...

This Mom has had a busy year.

My kids (ages 7-14) have been involved in four sports (indoor soccer, basketball, outdoor soccer, track & field) in three different leagues, plus a community theatre stint in addition to frequent dirt biking, tromping through water-logged ditches and generally getting as filthy as possible every single day.

Here I thought the baby stage would produce...

My cat is my hero.

Even as I watch her plump self burrowing into my basket of clean laundry for a nap and it's driving me crazy, I remember that time she killed 3 snakes and eradicated the local rodent population in the space of one week.

But the real reason she's a hero to me is how she comforted our young daughter after a major relocation which had triggered weeks of...

Skin care is always a bit of a battle for me. I try to keep up with a regimen of regular exfoliation, using toner (when I remember) and always - always - wearing a daily moisturizer with SPF. Two of my New Year's Resolutions are to drink more water and cut back on sugar, both for general health and to stay ahead of the curve with my combination skin.

And this is kind of working. Blemishes...

Like many people, I wasn't very sun smart in my younger years. Back then, having strongly defined tan lines was a proud testimonial to hours logged basting ourselves in baby oil and lying on the pool lounger all summer long. Maybe even a good base burn to start the sunbathing season? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Obviously, times have changed. We now recognize the importance of sun safety year-round,...

Miranda's back with three new #LooksOfTheDay, proving once again that comfort and style should never be mutually exclusive.

We drew inspiration from a lush purple pair of PUMA Future Cat Super LT shoes we received in the office; just the right tone for this brisk time of year.

Look #1: Office Appropriate

Miranda straddles the fine line between expressing her...

We're all watching our waistlines these days but don't you hate when it interferes with life? The holidays, Hockey Night In Canada, and the Winter Olympics are all just around the corner and this means food. Lots of food, especially when friends and family are around.

For me, this is a daily challenge. As a mom of three, I cook every day and constantly have to make sensible choices...
