I got this recipe from the LCBO Food & Drink Magazine and then tweaked it the way I wanted it. Theirs called for a splash of Apple Brandy but I don't like alcohol in dessert so that was one of the things I left out. I also layered in a drizzling of maple syrup, which makes it even better.

This is a really easy apple pie recipe to make if you're not very good with home made pie crust...

I've been cooking my way through The French Women Don't Get Fat Cookbook and accidentally made this recipe even healthier than intended. Don't you love it when that happens?

Meatloaf, so quickly disregarded as a vaguely unappetizing entree, is a versatile and quick home-cooked meal you should rediscover.  Paired with a hearty side of potatoes and your favourite green salad, meatloaf is healthy and delicious.  Best of all - prep time is a sweet 10 minutes or less!

2 lbs (900g) lean ground beef
1 to 1 1/2 c. spaghetti sauce
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 small...

• Sugar-free syrup (try Da Vinci’s caramel)
• About half a teaspoon of cinnamon
• About 3 Tablespoons almond meal
• About a teaspoon of butter

Plump, juicy, red strawberries add oodles of flavour to any meal or dessert - probably why they’re the most popular of berries.

“Berries can be really expensive out of season, but a great trick is to buy loads of them in season and freeze them,” says Nadia Giosia, chef and host of Food Network Canada’s Bitchin’ Kitchen. “This’ll have you enjoying that summer strawberry flavor all...
