In my house, these are called Chocolate Bears.  Largely because the recipe is from Build a Bear and came with a bear shaped cookie cutter.  These are ridiculously addictive, so consider yourself forewarned.

Ingredients:
3 C Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 C Unsalted Butter
1 1/2 C Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

We recently introduced you to heath guru Talia Chai, who gave us the low down on how to survive the temptations of holiday party season. While we'd love to down a nice tall glass of eggnog every day this season, it isn't exactly the healthiest option. So, we asked Talia to give us her favourite smoothie recipe for something delicious and nutritious.

Here's what Talia had to...

Christmas starts with cocktails. Obviously. I mean, it's a sure sign that the holiday season, is a comin' when you start loving spiked eggnog lattes and cranberry infused gin cocktails. Ahhhh... and happy hour commences!

We stopped by Toronto hot spot Hudson Kitchen and asked them to give us the low down on how to be your own bartender this holiday.

They gave us three cocktail recipes...

I adore caesars. I think they're my favourite cocktail, of all time. Which is saying something. They're spicy, salty and tangy. The perfect combination. Plus, you can get away with drinking them at brunch = awesome.

Since the long weekend is upon us (who else cannot wait to just sit in a hammock in the sun?), I thought it was only appropriate to present a few different caesar-iffic styles of...

I won't lie to you. I wouldn't exactly count myself among the fans of salad. I don't hate it, I just don't love it -it's just kind of tasteless to me. Kind of like how I feel about (unpopular opinion here, don't shot me) Maroon 5. Given the option, it isn't on my menu.

So, when I think lunch, salad isn't really first on my mind. It's more like burger, poutine, tacos for me. However, I may...

I'm a self confessed sweet-toothed sugar addict. You got a dessert you don't want anymore? I'll take it off your hands for you, free of charge. Now, I'd never say something so blasphemous as 'sugar can get boring' but I will say that once in a while, you need a flavour kick to jazz it up a bit.

This is where flavouring sugar comes in. Flavouring sugar is similar to infusing an alcohol....

Hey chicks! What are you up to this weekend? I have a few outings and lunches planned and of course, I love to fill my weekends with some obligatory shopping and DIY'ing!

For inspiration, I scoured the internet for a few pretty picks:

I cannot handle this heat, ladies. Walking outside is like walking into an oven. Who's with me?

But enough complaining. We want to look on the bright side (scratch that, we want to look on the cool, air conditioned side) of this summer instead. To help keep a cool head, I've been chilling out in the kitchen.

For example, I was inspired by our spa water recipes and have been...

So far, this has pretty much been the summer of food. Not that this is special in any way. Most of my summer, scratch that, most of my life revolves around food. However, this summer I've definitely made it my mission to test out as many new foods and restaurants as possible. Chicks, I think I've become a bit of a foodie!

While I previously did my daily read of beauty and fashion blogs every...
