I have had mine forever, I would suggest going over the manual so you completely understand every setting and how to use it. There is a great deal of stuff to know to take good quality photos, but once you get it all absorbed its super easy and fun. You get super high quality...

I still have my Canon PowerShot SX110 IS, and I LOVE it! I love how it has an easy to use Macro setting, and several different scene settings for things like beach pics, and fireworks. It still takes great photos, and is very easy to use.
I love this camera. As an independent photographer I have been more than ready to upgrade to a DSLR for a long time but I had to wait till I had the money for it - this is quite an investment especially considering future purchases of lenses, filters and other accessories. But...
