I have always been obsessed with the idea of a nail polish that lasts at least a week chip free....I stopped doing my nails altogether because the chipping after one day looked so bad and got so annoying it didn't seem worth it anymore. When I found out about gel nails (Shellack, OPI gel, etc) I got them done at the salon and automatically fell in love! My nails looked great for 10 days...but at $40 every 2 weeks or so, it wasn't something I could afford on a regular basis.
Enter SensatioNail starter kit. It is one of the many new at home gel kits available. It comes with everything you need to get started, including base/top coat, primer, nail cleaner, stick, lint free wipes, one coloured polish, and ofcourse the LED nail lamp. The lamp is small and compact so it fits great in a nail bag with all my other nail stuff. The only thing it doesn't come with is the removal stuff, which would be nice if it did....
It is super easy to use, literally just like normal nail polish except you set each coat under the lamp for 30 -60 seconds and it's completely dry-no waiting.
The colour I chose was raspberry wine, and i LOVE it...it's so nice, my nails look fantastic (not as fantastic as the salon because I still had to do it myself and I've never been great at that) but they look really great, haven't chipped, and are super glossy and pretty.
This will save me tons of time as I will only have to do my nails every 7-10 days. Gel can last up to 2 weeks, but my nails grow so fast that the re-growth looks awful if I leave it too long.
If you change your polish colour every couple of days this probably isn't for you, but if you are sick of chipping polish and like the idea of only having to do your nails a couple times a month, this is an amazing investment as it pretty much costs as much as 2 nail salon vists for gel or acrylic nails.
I did think the price was good ($90) until I saw it was cheaper at Walmart....that's Shoppers Drug Mart for you I guess. The polishes are also a little on the expensive side at $16, they should be a bit cheaper, but you won't be using too much of them and you can probably use gel polish from any brand, not just nailene.
I had to come on and write this review so that other girls like me can finally be satisfied with their nails ALL of the time!! I am SO happy with this purchase!!

I absolultely love this stuff. Honestly, I hate washing my hair because it's a huge process of shampoo, condition, detangle, drying, styling, etc. This cuts down on washing time and also saves my hair from harsh shampoos. I use it about 2-3 times a week and then another regular shampoo conditioner once a week to deep clean my hair.
This stuff is so creamy and makes my hair feel super soft. I leave it on in the shower for a few minutes to let the cleansers and conditioners do their job, and it rinses really clean and my hair feels great.
I'm not too crazy about the smell- I prefer a cleaner scent, but it's not awful either. The pump is sort of annoying because you have to use like 20 pumps to get the right amount.
Otherwise, this product is perfect and saves my dry hair from being stripped by harsh sulfates. It's nice to be able to condition your hair but also get cleansing benefits as well without a full shampoo. And yes-it does do a good cleansing job! I have no idea how, but it really works. My hair turns out clean and shiny.
I love this stuff.

I actually wanted to try this so I'm glad I got picked for the product review of it. I naturally have dark circles/puffiness under my eyes, and it sucks. I know most products won't change that, and the ones that help don't do too much, so I didn't expect this to get rid of my undereye bags. What I wanted was something for puffiness from lack of sleep.
I used this rollerball on the mornings I didn't sleep much to help drain the fluid and puffiness from under my eyes and it did help wake my eyes up. The cooling sensation was nice, but you can't massage for long as too much product will come out, so I don't think the rolling really does much. Another thing I didn't like was the smell. It's not that it was bad, but I tend to prefer scentless products for my face as I don't want to feel like I'm rubbing perfume all over my skin. I realize it's supposed to give a fresh feeling, and some people may like that, but I prefer no scent.
This product does help with puffiness from lack of sleep, but not hereditary issues. It's great to have on hand for after those late nights though, I keep it on my bedside table so I can put it on first thing when I wake up.

I've been whitening my teeth for years, and have tried both professional systems and all kinds of at home kits, so I have a good idea of which products work and which don't, but my teeth are harder to whiten than most so I am probably a bit more critical than others would be. My teeth are pretty white, I just like to use an at home kit every few months to clean them up-I drink a lot of coffee and red wine!!
The first thing I noticed about the strips was that you couldn't put them on right after brushing, but I also didn't want to put them on over dirty teeth, so I'm not sure I waited the proper amount of time - they should be more clear on that in the instructions. Also, it was hard for me to find 2 hours where I'd be sitting at home and couldn't drink water. That was a big thing for me, going 2 hours without a sip of water seemed weird, but the fact that you only have to do it one night instead of every night for 2 weeks was a huge bonus.
The upper strip stuck pretty well to my teeth but the lower one stayed loose. This could have been because I have a permenant retainer on the back of my lower teeth and it wouldn't stick to it. On the plus side, I didn't taste chemicals or feel like I was swallowing too much of it. Some of the whitening strips taste awful but I put up with them anyways, but these weren't bad. They made my teeth a tiny bit sensitive but not nearly as bad as some other brands have made them. I was worried it would burn my gums from being on for so long but it was fine.
The end results weren't spectacular. They did seem to make my teeth look cleaner and a little whiter but nothing amazing. Again, Crest White Strips have worked amazing for some people I know, but I guess they just aren't for my teeth. The price is pretty decent for a years worth of product.
I'd say if the regular Crest White Strips work well for you, go ahead and give this a try instead. 2 hours is a lot more convenient than wearing them daily for 2 weeks, where I usually end up skipping days because I'm too lazy to do it every night. Make sure to drink lots of water before you put them on so you don't get thirsty and waste the strips.

There`s not much else to say about this other than it`s simple and it works! Twice a week and your skin should look and feel gorgeous! $22 is a bit much, but it`s Clinique so you know it will be more than drugstore brands. It`s still cheaper than other department store brands though.

So, I was shopping at Winners when I came across a facial moisturizer that looked really great for only $7! (this is a sale price at Winners though, it costs more normally, $20 AUD, I'm not sure how much that converts to in Canada). The ingredients list got me because it was filled with lots of good essential oils like jojoba, vitamin e and c, grape seed, and avacado, along with green tea, ginko biloba, and other great natural ingredients. There are no synthetic dyes, fragrances, or parabens which is important to me since I have sensative acne-prone skin. Usually great organic or natural products cost a ton of money, which is why I was so excited to find this.
Once I got home, I noticed something I hadn't noticed in the store-it was for men! I didn't even realize it was a mans product because it smelled so nice (like lemons, but subtle) and had tons of antioxidants, but since I loved the ingredients, I used it anyways, and I'm really glad I did. My skin was pretty dry from harsh retinol treatments, and this moisturized it so amazingly well. The cream claims to hydrate, protect, nourish, and smooth. Vitamin C and grape seed oil helps to brighten the complexion, while vitamin e and green tea help nourish and repair skin. My skin feels great and it wasn't greasy at all.
You get a generous amount and only need to use a little at a time to cover your whole face and neck. It is an australian company but I think it has U.S and maybe Canadian distributors as well.
I'm not really sure why they wouldn't just make it unisex, seems like a great potent product that can help keep skin hydrated and youthful for a decent price, and they don't seem to have a womans version, but I'm going to stick with this and go back to Winners to grab another one before they're all gone! My skin is incredibly hydrated now and not greasy AT ALL.. I haven`t broken out from it and previous acne bumps seem to be healing quicker and smoother.I honestly can`t even believe it. Not all oils are bad for your skin, the oils in this are healing and natural. I wish they had an spf version for the day time. If you happen to come across this, don`t be afraid that it`s `for guys``. Give it a try!

I got the L'oreal Root Rescue in colour 3, soft black. My hair is naturally pretty dark, but I still colour it to be a little darker and more vibrant than my natural colour. I usually go to the salon twice a year, and in between use an at home no-ammonia hair colour to hold me over until my next salon visit. This kit has an awesome brush applicator that really does make it simple and easy to use. You might need to blend in the colour with your fingers, but the applicator makes it so much easier, distributes colour more evenly, and you can use it to brush the dye through your hair so it doesn't just coat the top. It's also a lot less messy! I really like that it only takes 10 minutes because it's quick and easy. The one thing I wish this product had though was no ammonia. Yes, it is LOW ammonia, but when I am only dying a section of my hair I`d prefer to use no ammonia-since it is only a temporary fix anyways until my next salon visit, and using permenant colour on sections of your hair at home can really end up messing it up for the colourist later on. I realize it has to have some in it though so that it can cover greys and lighthen/darken enough for people going a little more out of their natural shade range than I do, but I am really picky about what I use on my hair as it`s very fine and fragile and therefor prone to breakage. I recieved this for the product review club and therefor did not pay, but I checked the price online. I think it should be a little bit cheaper since it is only a small amount compared to a regular box of dye, and it doesn't come with any conditioner, but still not a terrible price overall. One of my favourite things about colouring my hair at home is the conditioner they give you, and you don't get any with this. Overall, the colour turned out really nice and natural and did blend nicely with my hair. It was quick and easy and a good choice for those who need to touch up their roots more often than I do (people with more noticable re-growth probably need to do this at least 2-3 times more often than I do) and don't want to spend the time/money on extra salon visits or 35 minute messy at home sessions.Good product by a great company, I love L'oreal! -

I usually love OPI products. The polish stays on longer than most other brands and they have a really wide selection of beautiful colours, but this didn't live up to their standards.
I'm the kind of girl who always has to have polish on my nails, but I got sick of them chipping so easily and ending up looking horrible, so when I saw this product I got excited.
The product claims to make the nail polish stick to your nails better for no chipping.. I guess it is supposed to dry the nail out so the polish's stick better. (Had I of known this I probably would have skipped buying it all together and just made sure my nails were really dry first! Nail polish remover would do the same thing, for a lot cheaper).
There isn't much to say here, other than it didn't work. At all. I tried it a lot of different times, and it never worked.Once it's applied, you're supposed to put a basecoat on anyways-isn't the point of a basecoat to make the colour stick longer? That would make this product pointless...It was pretty expensive for such an ineffective product, and I wish I could have brought it back.
Oh well...you live, you learn! I've just accepted that for chip free, consistently perfect nails you have to be able to afford to go to the salon a few times a month...which most people can't. I might start saving coloured polish for special occasions as I'm getting really tired of re-doing it so often.

I received both the Lavender Comfort & Gentle Vanilla and Morning Walk & Cleansing Rain scents of Febreeze Noticables and they both smelled really nice! I didn't find either scent overpowering at all. There is a green light to tell you it's "on" and which side is currently being used. I like that it says it gets rid of other odours in the air like smoke or pets, not just cover it up like most air fresheners.
I plugged the Morning Walk & Rain one in right at my front door and turned it on high. For the first day, it was very noticable and nice, so I turned it on low to save some of the oil. After a few daysI felt that maybe I had become immune to the smell because I couldn't really smell it anymore, so I turned it back on high, however, I did get some comments of how nice it smelled in my house when people walked in! With the Lavender & Vanilla I noticed the rotating scents a little more than I did with the Morning Walk & Cleansing rain- maybe because lavender and vanilla are more different from eachother than the other 2 scents. WIth the morning walk & rain I didn't notice a changing scent at all, but it was still a really pleasant smell at all times, they blended together nicely and smelled really fresh and clean.
I can't say how long it lasts because we had to test them within 2 weeks, but it definetely seems to be lasting quite a while and I'm pretty sure it will get into well over a month or even two before they completely run out. The oil holders look a lot bigger than a lot of air fresheners I have used in the past, so it's good to know it won't be used up within a week!
Yes I would recommend this to a friend, Febreeze is a trustyworthy brand that is always coming up with new and innovative ideas, and I'm really enjoying knowing it will always smell good when someone comes in my house! I think the price for the unit is fine, but I'm not sure how much they refills cost yet.

Aquafina has long been making not only flavoured water, but flavuored water with vitamins added. I was always a huge fan of their pomegranite cherry. Recently I got the opportunity to try three of their new 10 calorie vitamin waters: Fuji Apple Pear, Strawberry Lemonade, and Black & Blue Berry. I was VERY impressed.
The drinks didn't taste at all like artificial sweetener like many flavoured water drinks on the market do. They almost tasted like a light version of juice. My favorite was the strawberry lemonade! It was so refreshing, and definitely something I would drink on a regular basis. In fact, all the flavours were delicious, and the fact that they were only 10 calories per drink made me feel even better about it, since I don't like to waste my daily calories on drinks!
I love the fact that they contain extra vitamins (B, C, and E). I wouldn't rely on these drinks to fulfill all my daily nutritional needs, simply because they don't contain all the vitamins a multi-vitamin would; However, they are an amazing supplement. If you happen to not eat any fruit that day, you know you are getting over 100% of your vitamin C needs. Extra B vitamins are always good to have as well, as many girls are low in B12 which can lead to sluggishness.
I would certainly buy this water again and drink at least one a day knowing I'm taking an extra step for my health all while getting my daily water needs. It definitely makes water a little more delicious and easier to drink the recommended amount. I hope they can somehow make the other flavours 10 calories as well! Good work, Aquafina.
