I received the NOMA Hayden 3-Reversible Blade 6-Speed Ceiling Fan with Dimmable LED & Remote, 44-in, Brushed Nickel for free in exchange for an honest review. It’s a beautiful fan, and the fan power is perfect for a small bedroom. Here’s my review on the installation and ease of use (my partner and I have installed 6 ceiling fans).
This is definitely a 2-people-job, so have someone with you when you install it. The instructions are a bit unclear and the order is not in the best sequence. Make sure you find the light box (or stud) and hook up the safety wire FIRST. The instructions were to install the first panel but we had to take it off and hook up the safety wire, as there was no access to the light box once the first panel was installed. A bit of a design flaw if you ask me, but after hooking up the wire, it’s a breeze following the instructions until you connect the wires. The booklet goes forward a few pages to hook up the wires, then you have to go back a few pages to go back to installing the rest of the light exterior. Not a big deal, just a heads up for those who loves to follow concurrent pages. We stripped one of the wall screws (not by accident) so maybe have a few spares if you can just in case.
The remote pairing was super easy, there’s a short lag (maybe 2 seconds) from turning on the main light switch to seeing the light bulb turn on. The BEST function, is the DIMMING function. There’s multiple shades of light (no more choosing white only or yellow light), and on top of that, you can still choose to DIM the light! It’s amazing! The blades are wonderful for a small sized room, the blade is beautiful and the wind is really strong. I cannot wait to use this when the weather is warmer!
Short side note, the installation, as with most house projects, will get a bit messy (from screwing holes, drilling into the light box, or just general packaging). We cleaned up using the NOMA Vacuum Cleaner and the vacuum light and the ability to turn was AMAZING and it only took us 3 minutes to clean up everything. NOMA, you’ve done it again – thank you for being a trusted brand!

The NOMA iQ app was super easy to install and connecting the different devices (I had the light bulb and a Wi-Fi outlet plug). The ability to have a “room” setting is really great. Every device took less than 5 mins to set up (with Bluetooth and location and home Wi-Fi password). The only criticism is there’s a small lag when turning devices on/off, and changing colours / dimming / brightness on the LED light bulb. Voice control works great (I have a Google device) and the scheduled time “Experience” is great especially for the outlet plugs for when I want it turned off in the middle of the night.

Remember those days where you can’t decide or remember if you have white or yellow light blubs? Well those days are GONE! This new NOMA Smart LED light bulb will let you pick ANY color available on the colour wheel, plus it DIMS! Whatever or whenever your mood strikes, just pull out the app and change the color / temperature / brightness! It’s super easy to set up (only took less than 5 mins to connect via the NOMA IQ app, plus WiFi network and Bluetooth, make sure you are on 2.4 GHz then you are fine). Once connected, you can turn the bulb on/off, and change the colour up to your heart’s content. The only thing I would criticize is there’s a few second lag when changing the light color and when dimming. Not the end of the world but if you are trying to change the color for fun / just showing off, then you might want to do it another way. I’m keeping one at my desk, because orange light makes me happy! And the other one I am leaving in the living room for when we want to dim the lights to watch TV / have a glass of wine.

I received the NOMA iQ Smart Wifi Outlet Plug, 2-pk, Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant in white for free for an honest review. This Wifi Plug is so small, so modern and blends in so well with everything else in the house. This little cube is so powerful, it connects to your home wifi and you can control the on/off whenever and wherever you are. The little light indicates whether it’s on, off, or pairing (when flashing). You hold the button for a few seconds for it to begin pairing.
The set-up process was super easy. You download the NOMA iQ app, create an account, add the device, turn Bluetooth on, connect to your home Wi-Fi (make sure it’s 2.4 GHz) and let the app do its job. Within 5 minutes I was able to control the outlet on my phone (see the photo). The interface is so easy to use, just a touch and you know whether there’s power going through the outlet. What a gem! I tested it on a night lamp but I am currently using it for my 3D printer, so I can set a timer for when it needs to go on / off. The 3D printing sometimes happens overnight because it takes so long, the Wi-Fi plug would help give me a peace of mind knowing the power is off when the printing is done (I have an estimate timing) and keep the house safe from unexpected outage.
The ”Experience” on the app is super useful. I used the scheduled trigger to let the plug run to a certain hour (in my case with the 3D printing, at 4am), and it will go off. The timer is super useful for other uses like if you want your Christmas lights on only till midnight, you don’t have to worry about going outside to unplug the lights! And because this pack comes with 2 outlets, I'm going to do that right now!

I received the DAP Canada AMP Advanced Modified Polymer All Weather Window, Door and Siding Sealant 266mL in white color for free in exchange for an honest review. I love DAP products, it’s affordable, easy to use, and best of all, they work and last a long time! There’s always something to fix around the house, and just so happens there’s a crack at the garage door that needed a sealant. I put the AMP Advanced Modified Polymer Sealant on, as usual the sealant is easy to open and apply – ever so smoothly, and it dried in 18 minutes. It was a damp and humid day but the sealant dried so quickly it was amazing and I’m really happy with the results. The white sealant looks okay on the door and it’s in the garage so I might not even have to paint over it (will let my husband be the judge of that lol) – all in all, I think DAP did it again and I have one less crack to worry in the house!

Man I wished I had these when I was a teenager. As a woman in my 30s I still get acne and the Hero Might Patch is a godsend. Just stick it on before bed (after washing your face, I left out toner/lotion and just put the patch on), and sleep – I didn’t feel a thing. The next morning, there’s a small white glob of the zit that was coming out, and my pimple is no longer red. Sorry my picture is a bit odd, the angle was too awkward for the lens to focus – but you can see how smooth it is compared to the rest of my face. The Hero Mighty Patch is made with hydrocolloid and was originally designed for use as a medical bandage. No wonder why my zit healed up so quickly. No more acne treatment that dries out your skin and make it tingly – you won’t even feel the patch is there, and just let it take all the gunk out! -

First of all, LOVE the tube, it’s a black elegant and the (steel?) material is one of those that you can roll up so you don’t waste anything at the end of the tube. The vanilla and orange peel mix smells absolutely wonderful and super refreshing. The hand cream is not greasy at all and my skin absorbed it almost immediately. I can still type on my laptop after without worrying it’ll leave stain marks on the keys. Have been using the hand cream for 2 days straight now and after I use hand sanitizer when I’m outside as well. It’s working great and my knuckles and hand cuticles are super soft. Again, love the smell, it’s so relaxing I wish they have a perfume for it! Perfect for keeping it in your handbag or just around your desk – because it looks GREAT and works!

The sweet orange, sage, and cedarwood smell feel likes Christmas already! Really really loving the smell! The hand wash lathers up really well and leaves your skin so soft at the end. None of that tingly feeling after a hand wash but you can still feel your hand is clean wash feeling. The lovely sweet orange, sage and cedarwood smell lingers after a while and it’s super refreshing. This 300ml bottle should last a long while!

I received the For Living Customizable Office Chair for free in exchange for an honest review. We are one of the luckier households that can still work from home from time to time. This For Living Office Chair is of top quality, and the 6-way adjustability helps when we rotate between uses (a 6”3 male and 5”6 female). The chair offers a good level of comfort and provides firm yet comfortable support for the back and torso. Additionally, a good office chair should be adaptable and have multiple adjustment options to cater to different body types. The For Living Office chair, for instance, features adjustable seat height, backrest tilt, armrest height, depth, and direction, as well as adjustable lumbar support position and strength. When it comes to material and build quality, the chair feels well-constructed overall. While it may not be built to the same standard as more expensive brands commonly found in corporate offices, it also comes at a more affordable price. The mesh backing and frame of the chair feel sturdy and are unlikely to be easily damaged.
The only issue I encountered was during the installation process. The screw holes had narrow tolerances, which made it slightly time-consuming to assemble the chair compared to other office chairs. The instructions do advise keeping the screws loosely tightened during assembly, and they truly mean it! However, this minor inconvenience does not significantly affect the overall build quality of the chair. In terms of design, this office chair boasts a sleek and modern appearance. It is designed to seamlessly blend into the background of your office rather than making a bold statement about your personal decorating taste. Considering the comfort, adjustability, quality, and design, chairs of similar caliber would likely cost more from larger office suppliers. Therefore, this chair offers good value for money. Now I think we need to get another one so we don’t have to constantly adjust the chair between the two of us!

I received the Aquaman Role Play Set (Trident) for free in exchange for an honest review. The set comes with both Aquaman and Black Manta’s tridents (about 35 inches), and they are a good size for your little one’s hand. The box says it’s for 4 years old and above but my 4yo just wanted to stab his siblings with it (yikes), FORTUNATELY the tips of the trident are SOFT and it’s actually safe. Don’t get me wrong, it still hurts a tad bit if you get stabbed (from my personal experience yes). It’s probably a good idea to sit your little one down with clear instructions on what NOT to do before handing them the tridents. My slightly older ones (8yo) seems to have more fun with it, acting out a fight scene with his siblings, and it’s actually pretty fun to watch!
On to some improvements, the plastic quality of the tridents is slightly on the poorer side, I don’t think the tridents will last too long with some rough play. It took me quite a bit to put the trident together because the plastic wouldn’t go in at the joints. You’re supposed to put it in and turn but it took quite some muscles to get them in, and even then, the scripting on Aquaman’s trident doesn’t match up perfectly – not that my little ones care at all, which is great. That being said, because the plastic is a bit more on the “secure” side, there’s less chance of the tridents coming apart during rough play, which I really appreciate. All in all, great gift if your little one is into Aquaman, and the tips are safe for playing, just make sure they don’t poke the littler ones in the family!
