I received the Degree® Men Advanced 72H Nonstop Antiperspirant Deodorant Dry Spray for free in exchange for an honest review. As a sweaty male, even in the coldest of days (after a walk, yoga, or chores) I rely heavily on deodorants. While I am not picky about the methods (rub-on or spray), this Degree Deodorant Dry Spray was surprisingly nice and easy to spray on. It smells like spring and the smell actually lasted for a whole day – until I showered. I’m not sure if 72 hours is necessary, since I assume most people would shower once a day, but it is definitely a good to have feature if I am out camping or on a roadtrip in the summer. There’s no white marks after the spray – that is definitely a plus! -

I received the AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion for free in exchange for an honest review. I have weather related dry skin and sleep with the humidifier on. Sometimes I apply 2 layers of lotion to make it bearable. I’ve been using this new Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion for 5 nights now and as much as I want to say it’s life changing, it’s just okay. It’s not bad at all, Aveeno has always made my skin feel soft and not feeling greasy after, but this new lotion isn’t “sticking as long”. It’s nice to put on and it feels great, but I think it lasts only about 4 hours before my skin absorbs everything and I would have to reapply. Maybe it’s just me. That being said, the lotion itself feels great to apply, and it does moisturize pretty well – just maybe not 24 hours as advertised. -

Being a long-time Aveeno fan, I think this is the first time I’ve seen a refill pouch from Aveeno – GREAT JOB! Anything to help save the environment and doing our part – I’m all in! I wanted to add that every Aveeno bottle I’ve had have lasted a long time and they’re made solid, I’m 1000% certain the bottles can be refilled MANY times before they start seeing signs of wear and tear! Love this new packaging and will definitely be refilling my old body wash bottles with this! -

I received the AVEENO Daily Moisturizing Body Wash for free in exchange for an honest review. My skin gets SO dry in the winter, and this is with humidifier running and constant lotion – I know, it’s a painful yearly cycle, so I am ALWAYS on the hunt for any skincare that helps reduce dryness and/or itching. Aveeno is one of my favorite brands and there’s always a bottle somewhere in the house (husband and kids all love it). This new daily moisturising body wash lathers really well, and the soothing colloidal oatmeal makes my skin SO SOFT post-shower. It’s like a layer of lotion on after shower but also feeling clean at the same time. There’s just a gentle smell, nothing perfumy or strong – which I love! Don’t think the little ones would react to a strong smell very much. LOVE it, and well done again Aveeno! -

I received the Bakugan Legends, 2-inch-Tall Collectible Action Figure and Trading Cards for free in exchange for an honest review – the one I received was a Howlkor x Ramparian marble, 1 gate card and 1 character card. It’s been 3 days since my 8yo has opened the Bakugan, and he has NOT left it out of his sight, EVER. It’s in his pocket, at the dinner table, and it was the centre of attention during a sleepover last night with his buddies. I asked him for a review and this is what he said, “OMG OMG OMG Howlkor is now a x Ramparian?! This is the best thing ever!! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!” Howlkor has always been his favourite so this new collection is definitely here to stay. The photo is taken by a group of 8-9yo, under a “spotlight”, because that’s the attention Howlkor x Ramparian deserves :) If you’re looking for a Christmas present for any 8-9 year old, this is it!! My 8yo was the king in his friend group last night because no one has the new collection from Bakugan Legends yet – trust us, this is the go-to present! -

I received the PAW Patrol Aqua Pups Rubble Transforming Hammerhead Shark Vehicle with Collectible Action Figure for free in exchange for an honest review. The bright yellow vehicle is about the palm size of a grown man’s hand. The little Aqua Pup figure is about the size of my finger and it fits snuggly in the shark vehicle. My 3yo was so happy to see it (yellow is his current favorite color, and of course PAW patrol is always on TV and everywhere!) and quickly figured out the door hatch on the vehicle closes and brings out the plane wings! It’s an amazing toy that slides quickly and so smoothly I think it did 5 laps around the living room within a few minutes! The drill tail end is a little amusing for my 3yo as he tried to figure out what it does. It amazes me so much that a little human being can figure out the mechanism of the hatch so quickly without any adult intervention! Love the vehicle, love the bright colors, and always love PAW Patrol! -

I received the Clarins Double Serum for free in exchange for an honest review. Clarins as we know, is an expensive brand, and is associated with top-of-the-line skincare. I was super happy to try out the Double Serum. My skin must’ve been so dry due to the weather… the serum was 100% absorbed within seconds. My skin was so smooth after only 1 application – I guess that’s why Clarins is a top brand! The product speaks for itself! After using it daily for almost a week, my skin 100% feels softer and a little bouncier. I haven’t had any new break outs, and I’m actually really loving incorporating the Double Serum into my skincare routine. Now to wait for a sale and stock up! -

We hardly buy toys for our kids so when this giant box arrived, it was like Christmas in August – and perfect timing too, as we are 7 episodes into Gabby’s Dollhouse on Netflix!
Kids Review: my 4 and 7 year old played at it non-stop for about 3 hours. The photo I have here is taken by my 4yo with the caption “I’m cooking like mommy!” They absolutely love the stove knobs, which were so real like, and the Cakey voices. It’s a bit tight for 2 kids to play together but it’s also a good time to learn to share. The fridge on the side is now stacked with every food toy we have, and even with the door opening and closing for 1000 times, it’s still holding. The Cakey figure is definitely the most popular item, and like you see in the photo, poor Cakey has been cooked and grilled many times now. The kids are asking for a sprinkle party (like in the show), maybe we will hold off on that….
Adult Review: At first glance, it looked a bit intimidating to put together the kitchen set (luckily I did it after bedtime so I could actually focus). The instructions were hidden in the play cardboard package, my only comment is it would be nice to have it in color. I found the instructions a bit hard to read and figure out which pieces go where in black and white. The material quality overall is okay, with the exception of a small hinge (see photo in my IG post) that took quite a bit of muscle to get the two pieces clicked. The kitchen set has been rough played and is still standing so the overall quality is good. It took me about 30 minutes to put the set together. I am most impressed by the fridge door (see photo in my IG), that mechanism to click shut the door hinges and to release it is truly amazing (and safe!) like I mentioned earlier, the fridge door has been opened 1000+ times and is still doing great! Even I wanted to play with it! The Cakey Cat Kitchen is amazing and beautiful, the height is perfect for a child under 8 and it gives enough room to add your own kitchen toy collection (let’s face it, we all have lots of those). The sound and Cakey phrases are so true to the TV show and my kids are just loving it. Really love the set, and from what I can tell, the kids will be playing this every day for a very long time!

I received the Irish Spring Active Scrub Body Wash for free in exchange for an honest review (the following will be reviewed by the husband, although I also tried the product and loved it!). LOVE the new bottle/design! It has been a while since I have used Irish Spring and the smell brings back so many memories (mostly of my granddad, because Irish Spring is such a classic staple in the shower). I was a bit hesitant with the exfoliating scrubbing beads (never liked little bits sticking on my skin), but surprisingly it felt really nice and there was absolutely no funny residue left! I used it on my face and body (thank you – my wife does not understand why men only needs one bottle!) so it was super convenient, and space saving. Face grease was completely removed and feels fresh, smells amazing, and so far no new breakouts for me. Overall I am very happy and it’s important to be clean! -

I received the Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil sample for free in exchange for an honest review. I have walked past the Shu Uemura beauty desk/shops so many times but have never tried anything (it’s just too expensive), so I’m very thankful and happy to try this Sublime Beauty Cleansing oil. First impression, it smells glorious, kind of like being in a rainforest. I think it’s the Tsubaki flower (Japanese camellia oil) that’s generating the pleasant scent. It’s not very oily, unlike some other brands I’ve used. I used a cotton pad and because it’s a little more watery, I noticed I had to use a bit more to wet the pad. That being said, it was so worth it. Two wipes and my eye make up was gone, and that was waterproof mascara too. Another wipe and my lipstick also came off. Even with a full face of makeup (we had a wedding to go to), it only took 2 cotton pads to clean off everything.
My only small suggestion is to include “how to use” on the bottle or package. Knowing this is a sample, and maybe that’s why there isn’t any instructions. It’s like, can I leave it on, because it leaves my skin so soft and smells so good? Can I use it like a moisturizer? I didn’t, since it says it’s a makeup remover, and I followed up with my usual skin cleaning routine. Otherwise what a great product!
