I bought the Young Living animal scents ointment for my Akita. I'll be honest, I used it on myself before using it on my dog. This product is very gentle and doesn't burn at all. It doesn't take very much ointment to apply. The scent is really pleasing and I like knowing this product won't harm my pup if he licks at the application spot. -

The Blue Dog Bakery Softies are one of our go to treats. They are freshly baked with all natural ingredients. You can typically find the peanut butter flavor in most larger stores like Wal-Mart, but Target usually carries other flavors like blueberry. I bought these for our American Akita. We followed the recommended one a day. After the second day he started vomiting. We were up all night with a sick dog. These treats have garlic in them. I never thought that something for freshening breath would have garlic. Japanese breeds such as Akita's and Shiba's are very sensitive to onion and garlic and need to avoid these additives. Needless to say, we can't use these treats and are now really aware of everything we buy for him. -
