Product Review Club!!
I had the opportunity to taste 3 different flavours of Brookside DARK Chocolate bars through the product review club. I have had Brookside Chocolate before through a few of their different chocolate covered fruit items (chocolate covered blueberries and acai berries have always been my favourite) so I was really looking forward to trying in the chocolate bar form and I wasn't disappointed!
The 3 flavours I tried were; Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour, Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour and Mango Coconut Crisp.
Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour: Definitely my favourite, it tasted just like the chocolate covered berries that I love so much. It is a rich flavour but not too sweet and also does a really good job at mixing the flavours of blueberry, acai and almond, with real pieces of blueberry and almond. The combination of all the flavours flow really well together and taste amazing. I also found it great as I'm starting a new meal plan that doesn't include much sweets, so the chocolate bars are great because you can break a square off or even break a square off and break it in half for a smaller piece and I found that to be satisfying enough for dessert after dinner AND it's great for sharing.
Tart Cherry Crisp with Pomegranate Flavour: This one was a very close first! It tasted a bit similar to the blueberry almond. I found with this one that you can really taste the tart cherry at first but then it is quickly diluted with the bitter sweetness of dark chocolate. The flavour really reminded me of cherry chocolates (the ones you buy around christmas) which I LOVE to eat around christmas time but wouldn't want to eat them all year round. This one was also my boyfriends favourite, I think because of the tartness and he really likes sour/tart flavours. The one thing I really enjoyed about this one is the crispiness which they created with something similar to a rice krispy cereal piece but it adds a nice crunch when you're indulging.
Mango Coconut Crisp: This one was definitely my least favourite out of the three. It was the one I ate the least of which is kind of crummy because I was really looking forward to trying this one. I feel like this one probably would have been better without the mango, I love coconut flavoured anything and I get what they were going for, but I feel like this might be a new flavour that they were experimenting with and failed a bit. There are real pieces of mango in the bar which I feel are just too overpowering and it doesn't really taste like mango as it does orange. You can barely taste the coconut but sometimes you get a random bite where you CAN taste it but then it just ends up tasting like chocolate sunscreen and a bit like Mango Malibu Rum. One thing I did like (as I mentioned in the above review) was the crispiness. Very satisfying when you chew!
Overall Brookside Chocolate can do no wrong. They make really good quality products that are super tasty, alot of natural ingredients and aren't as bad for you as some of the commercial chocolate bars you see at your grocery store checkout line.
If you want to try it out, start with their chocolate covered fruit items, you can buy them in large bags AND snack size bags usually found in the chocolate and candy isle at the grocery store.
Enjoy :)

I only used this one a few times because I found it goes on super strong and makes my eyebrows look completely unnatural. I also didn't actually receive a pencil, I received the pencil gel, which actually looks like mascara, same type of brush and everything. I usually use a light brow pencil just to slightly enhance my eyebrows, i have red hair so my eyebrows are fairly light, so the gel enhances them way too much. Maybe it would work better for people with dark colour eyebrows, but now good for light brows. -

I really did enjoy this mineral powder, it goes on very evenly (when using the proper brush) and looks quite natural. My only issue is that it didn't seem to last all day, and would kind of flake off half way through the day, so I strongly suggest if you use it, then you should apply a liquid foundation first and then apply a bit of the mineral powder after it dries. I would recommend it, but only for people that don't have super dry skin. -

Hands down, one of the best mascara's I have ever used. I am really big on mascara, its probably the one makeup product that I always have to wear, even on a "no makeup day" I have to apply at least a bit of mascara. I have used so many different types of mascara, but this is for sure one of the best. It only takes a few strokes to completely cover the lashes, one end is for your upper lashes (a big thick brush so it goes on easy) and the other end has a smaller brush for your lower lashes, coats them thinly and naturally. I will most definitely buy this product again in the future. I have been recommending it to everyone and the price isn't too bad either. -

I am not someone that usually wears lipstick, but I find this to be a lot different then your average lipstick!…It goes on very, very smooth, and it leaves your lips feeling soft, and looking shiny (lip gloss shiny! without the lip gloss) it also lasts a very long time, only needed to re-apply once, maybe twice throughout the evening. I would highly recommend this product. It's a decent price for a very good product. My only issue would be the colour, I received a pinkish red colour, which is very pretty, but brownish or maroon colours suite me best :) -

I received my free sample of Dove Go Sleeveless last week. After using it for about a week I have discovered a few things.
First of all, the scent I got was Beauty Finish and it's really, really pretty so thats a plus, and it is a long lasting, 48 hour deodorant, another plus! This is the perfect type of deodorant for you if you wear a lot of tank tops and cap sleeved shirts, but not the greatest if you are doing anything super high active or if its a really really hot day where you will be sweating a lot. I found that on a regular day, this deodorant definitely did the trick, but if I wore it during my fitness class, it seemed to wear off rather quickly. I did find that as far as deodorant lines on my shirt, there are zero!! Even after applying it and then putting on a black tank top or t-shirt, so that is definitely a plus.
Overall it's a pretty good product. Dove is known for making some of the best smelling as well as some of the most soothing and moisturizing deodorants. It leaves you feeling fresh, clean and goes on rather smoothly. The price is great, and even just the sample size has lasted me over a week!
For the most part I do recommend this product, just don't use it if you are going to the gym….or a sauna.

I have been using Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect mascara for over a year now and it has never let me down! I bought it on a whim, I had never been to Sephora before and felt incredibly overwhelmed by the variety of products they have to offer. Although Sephora offers so many other brands of makeup, they understandably hold a lot of pride in their house brand. I was on my way to the checkout and saw this mascara and decided to just grab it. Although it seemed a bit pricier than my regular drugstore mascara ($18 vs. $6) the lady at the counter raved about it so I bought it. The brush itself is the perfect size to evenly coat every lash, one or two swipes is all you need per eye and it lasts all day. This mascara also adds the perfect balance of volume and length. It is also available in a variety of colours from your basics (brown and black) to all the colours of the rainbow! I have used the brown before, I am a red head with brown eyes so I find that brown mascara makes my eyes look less cat like, but I found the brown was a bit to light for my lashes, but still looked fab. When I finished up the brown, (almost 6 months later) I went back and purchased the black and loved it just as much as I find it's not as harsh as other black mascaras. If I had to give it one downfall it would be that you absolutely must, MUST remove the mascara before bed as it can stain pillow cases and bed sheets pretty badly....it's also better for your eyes (and skin) to wash your face before bedtime anyways but you will probably need some kind of eye makeup remover, along with your regular face wash routine to completely remove this mascara.
I have tried a few other mascaras since purchasing this one and they just don't do it for me.
So I strongly recommend it!
Hope this was helpful :)

I feel like I've been battling a lot these days trying to find a good foundation that doesn't make me look like I'm plastered in make up and doesn't feel heavy or look flakey. I feel like this is a very good product especially when used in combination with the cover girl & olay toner rehab. It does feel a little bit heavy when you're first putting it on, but once it's set in, it feels pretty great :) I do recommend this product for people who seem to have trouble with their skin tone and finding the right shade, I have pretty light skin and always range somewhere in between ivory and classic ivory. I suggest everyone to try it out, although it is a wee bit expensive, I was lucky enough to get it on sale :) Best place to get it = walmart, DON'T go to shoppers, its about 3 dollars more. -
