I was selected to try the BURT'S BEES MINERAL BLUSH for free in exchange for my honest opinion and I love it! I have been looking for a cheaper alternative to my current blush and I have finally found it. The blush is 100% natural and uses bamboo, honey and Vitamin E to help nourish your skin. The product blends easily and seamlessly for a flawless look. The pigment is amazing and a little bit of product is needed to added the most beautiful cheek glow! At $14.99 I think this is priced perfect and will be recommending this to my family and friends! -

I received the BURT'S BEES MATTIFYING POWDER FOUNDATION to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion and the product was okay. I have pretty normal skin that can get oily so a good setting powder is important in my makeup regime. I love that the product is 100% natural. The product comes with an applicator and mirror and is a decent size. I used the applicator to apply the powder after my foundation was finished and it looked pretty nice. My skin did not look powdery and everything was blended and blurred. I am not sure if this is a powder or a foundation but I don't think it could be used alone as a foundation solely. The coverage is not there. I also would not say that this product is truly mattifying as I found it gave more of a dewy or natural look. For $17.99 I would not recommend this product. -

I was given the BURT'S BEES BROW PENCIL to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion and I was blown away! I have very light brows so a good brow product is an absolute must for me. I have been looking for a cheaper drug store alternative to the product I am currently using and I have finally found something that works great for a great value. The brush comes with the pencil on one end and the spoolie on the other which makes it so easy to fill, define and shape even the lightest and sparsest of brows! The product blends so easily and smoothly into hairs for a natural look. It is 99.9% natural and is made with a responsibly sourced cedar wood pencil! It also contains nourishing Jojoba oil to help nourish your brows all day long. The pencil lasts a long time and retails for $12.99 which is fantastic for a great quality, natural product. My only complaint is that they currently only offer 2 colors (blonde and brunette) but I am hoping they expand the line down the road! -

I received the BURT'S BEES NOURISHING EYELINER to try for free and I enjoyed the product. It is 99% natural and comes from a brand that I know and trust. I tried the color soft black which is a very good color description. It was almost like a smoky black, or a black grey. I used it to line both my top and bottom and found that the look was subtle. It still enhanced my eyes but was not as noticeable as I am used to. I love that the product is made with Jojoba oil to help nourish and that it also uses responsibly sourced cedar wood pencils! Such a great idea. The product comes in three colors and retails for $12.99 which for me is quite pricey. I can purchase other eyeliner pencils from the drugstore that are much more pigmented and that last longer. I would recommend this for days when you want a subtle look. -

I really wanted to love this mascara as I am a huge fan of Burt's Bees and natural makeup in general. This 100% natural nourishing mascara fell short for me however. I found the brush quite thick and hard to maneuver around my baby lashes and corners of my eyes. It was also really hard to coat my bottom lashes without making a mess of my waterline. There is a nice amount of pigment and it definitely darkens the lashes but I didn't see a huge noticeable difference in lengthening or volume. I love the addition of Jojoba Oil but I don't really understand the need for "nourished" lashes. I think that is kind of a bogus claim. It retails at $13.99 which I think is fair for a 100% natural beauty product - I just wish it lived up to it's claims and was effective. -

I was given the BURT'S BEES GOODNESS GLOWS LIQUID MAKEUP to review for free in exchange for my honest opinion and I was not impressed by it. I love the Burt's Bees brand and am a huge fan of their lip care lines. I couldn't wait to try their brand new makeup line but unfortunately the foundation fell short.
First, the smell was overpowering and disgusting. I am not joking when I say it smells like dog poop. That is all I could smell and think about. It spreads very easily on the skin as it is pretty thin and two coats will give you a nice medium coverage. The product is really hard to blend (I used a beauty blender) and found that it always looked streaky. I had a primer underneath but my primer looks amazing with every single other foundation I have ever tried. I set the product with the Burt's Bees mattifying powder and found myself still looking 'wet' and greasy. The foundation is a dewy finish but it does not look natural or normal. The foundation separated terribly throughout the day, settled into my fine lines and my oils seeped through. No amount of re-blending or powder could cover it up. I had a function after wearing the foundation all day and I actually went home and took it off and went to the function bare faced as I felt more comfortable.
The foundation is super lightweight and you truly cannot feel it on your skin which is awesome. It is 98.9% natural and free from parabans, phthalates, talc and many other terrible things found in most beauty products. It comes in 12 shades which is a great start for a new foundation line. Overall I would not purchase this again nor would I recommend it to any of my family and friends. For $20 a bottle I cannot see any reason that this would be worth it over other foundations. I love what they are doing with the natural beauty and natural products, but their recipe needs some editing. I also think they should create a primer in their makeup line as well to go with the foundation!

I was selected to try the POWERBAR PLANT PROTEIN ALMOND, SEA SALT AND DARK CHOCOLATE for free in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and I was a little disappointed. Almonds are usually my 'go-to' nut in bars so I was really expecting great things for this plant based protein bar. Unfortunately the taste was not great.
The bar tastes a little bland. I am not sure how the bar missed the mark because almonds, dark chocolate and sea salt sounds like a trifecta of greatness for me! The chocolate was hardly noticeable, as was the salt. I like the crunch factor to the bar and that they are not soft and chalky like most protein bars. The body of the bar is almonds, pumpkin seeds, protein crisps and almond butter surrounded by a delicious dark chocolate coating. There are no artificial flavours and the bar is certified vegan and friendly for those with an intolerance to gluten or soy.
The ingredients list combined with the taste would deter me from purchasing this product again or recommending it to my family and friends. At 10g of protein AND 10g of sugar I feel like it is more of a glorified chocolate bar then something I would take to get my protein for the day. The bar is filling which I enjoyed, but it was hard for me to choke down. Even though they work out ti roughly $1.20 per bar, I will not purchase this again.

I was selected to try the POWERBAR PLANT PROTEIN CASHEW, SALTED CARAMEL AND DARK CHOCOLATE for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and it was seriously SO good. Salted caramel and dark chocolate are two of my favourite things so I knew that this had to be delicious... it was!
I love that the bar has a crisp and crunch to it and is not soft and/or chalky like most other protein bars. The texture is nice and the flavour profile is great in that you can taste a little bit of everything - it kind of tastes like caramel popcorn to me. The body of the bar is cashews, protein crisps, sunflower seeds and cashew butter which is then covered in a delicious dark chocolate coating. It is a slightly sweet bar, but I love it! I love that there are 10g of plant based protein and the bar is filling enough to satisfy any midday hunger pangs.
The ingredient list is a little long for my liking and although I enjoy the 10g of protein, I also wish there wasn't 10g of sugar. The pumpkin seeds could also have been left out of the bar as I don't think they really serve a purpose.. the bar would be perfect without them. You can buy them at Costco in a 14 pack for $16.99 which equates to about $1.20 a bar which is fantastic! I would pick this up over other protein bars in the store and would recommend this to my family and friends.

I was selected to try the POWERBAR PLANT PROTEIN DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions, and I was surprisingly impressed. Peanut butter is my least favourite addition to sweets and snacks and is usually the last flavour I will purchase anything in. This bar, however, was delicious!
I really enjoyed the rice protein crisps as I like a little bit of crunch to the foods I eat. Normal protein bars are chalky tasting and I love that this bar leaves zero room for that! The rice crisps have peanuts and peanut butter mixed in and is then coated on the bottom and drizzled on the top with a delicious dark chocolate coating. This plant based protein bar contains ZERO artificial sweeteners and has a whopping 11g of protein. It is also vegan and approved for those with gluten or soy intolerance's!
My only complaint with the bar is that it follows much the same recipe as every other protein bar... glorified chocolate bar status. The ingredients list is long and filled with items that wouldn't fly well with a health nut or someone watching their sugar intake. There is almost as much sugar as there is protein. I also don't like the addition of the pumpkin seeds on top. They don't really go with the taste of the bar and I think they would taste a tiny bit better without them. Overall, these bars can be purchased in a 14 count box for $16.99 at Costco which makes them about $1.20 per bar - that is awesome! They are filling and are great for a midday snack! I would go against my normal inhibitions and would purchase this delicious peanut butter bar in stores. I would also recommend this to my family and friends!

I was selected to try the CANADA DRY CLUB SODA POMEGRANATE-CHERRY for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion and I love it! Our household tries to stay away from pop as much as possible although we do like to indulge every now and then. I love the option of the flavored sparkling water which gives you the fizz and flavour, without the hundreds of calories! The flavour was very subtle which I enjoyed. You can taste a hint of cherry which was really nice and refreshing. My boyfriend enjoyed the taste more then I did as I found the cherry to have an artificial flair to it, even though it does say naturally sweetened on the package. I love that it is low in sodium and has zero calories which makes me feel better about grabbing it over a regular soda. We drank it plain and we also made it into italian sodas which was DELICIOUS! Usually we would use regular club soda and simple syrup but the addition of the Pomegranate and Cherry took it over the edge! We added some extra frozen cherries to the mix and sat outside to enjoy them. I love that the club soda can be used in a variety of ways and mixes. Next up, cocktails!
I think the price of the product is a little steep at $7+ (after deposits and taxes). I will recommend this to my family and friends as I think even non club soda drinkers will enjoy this flavour. And I highly recommend using this product for homemade Italian sodas, soooo good!
