I was so excited to be chosen to try the new TRESEMME TEXTURE COMPRESSED MICRO MIST HAIR SPRAY HOLD LEVEL 1 from ChickAdvisor for free in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions. Tresemme is a brand that is not new to me. I have used their products in the past and have always thought of them as a leader in the hairspray industry. I was so excited that they decided to come out with the micro mist line as I actually used to use their chubby green can of hairspray religiously for YEARS up until a couple years ago when I started travelling more and opted for other brands with smaller and sleeker cans. So happy that they decided to switch it up and introduce a skinny and ergonomically advantageous can! Aside from being obviously smaller, the micro mist line also contains 50% less gas than the regular cans for a superfine ‘micro mist’ spray.
This product was so easy to use especially because I have naturally wavy hair. I like to let my hair dry naturally and then throw some product in to help enhance my natural beach waves and curls. I followed the directions on the can; shake, spray, repeat, and voila! For me it was more of a shake, squeeze, and scrunch... but same idea and same result! The smell is so nice and light and it’s not overpowering or chemically in the slightest. It doesn’t leave a huge fog of hairspray in the room after either. My hair did not feel crunchy or greasy and there was no obvious residue. It definitely helped enhance my natural wave where it looked and felt natural and had tons of movement. The hold lasted all day and even after sleeping on it, it still looked awesome the next day too! It also combatted my frizz, which I was not expecting, but it was definitely a nice bonus!
I have been using this product every single day since receiving it and this is definitely going to be introduced into my regular hair care lineup. The product brands itself as a level 1 hold and it holds true to it’s claim. At $5-$6 this product is amazing. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to enhance a natural wave or curl or is simply looking for a hairspray to naturally hold and lock in their style. This is NOT for someone who wants an intense hold or is rockin’ a complicated style. But for those who are sporting natural hair or ponytails, top knots and braids... you will love this!

I was SO disappointed in the QUAKER OVERNIGHT OATS: WALNUT, RAISIN AND HONEY. I loved the idea that the product contains 100% whole grain oats, quinoa, flax seed, and other real, simple ingredients and even more so, I loved the fact that it was super easy. They come in packs of two so the first time I used regular 2% milk and the second time I used vanilla almond milk. Both were absolutely awful. The directions say to fill the container up to the line with milk and then stir it 'really good'. I stirred it each time for like 30 seconds making sure to get all the bits on the bottom and everything nice and soaked. Then I let it sit in the fridge for approximately 10 hours (the directions say between 6 and 24 hours!). You can actually see the big chunks of walnuts and raisins which was great! You can eat these cold or warm but I opted for the cool overnight oats in the fridge.
The nutrition value of the product is high... if you can choke it down. It is a good source of protein and fiber and has no artificial colors or flavours. BUT IT TASTES AWFUL. I am not even kidding when I say I put a spoonful in my mouth and took two small chomps and spit it out. I honestly don't even know what flavour they were going for? It tastes like sour nothingness. That's a terrible way of describing it but I actually have no words to describe the taste. There was still milk in the container so the oats did not soak it up all the way and were still hard. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I can make my own overnight oats at home that taste much better.

I was selected to try the AVEENO ULTRA-CALMING DAILY MOISTURIZER WITH SPF 30 from ChickAdvisor for free in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions and I was unfortunately not impressed. I have been really riding the Aveeno train as of late and this was the first product from what is an AMAZING brand that didn't wow me.
For starters, the bottle is quite small. If only a small amount of product was needed then this wouldn't be an issue for me but I found that two pumps is needed for one application on my whole face and neck. I enjoy that it comes in a pump top to help stop the spread of bacteria and contamination and allows for ease of use. The product combines feverfew with oats which are calming and soothing products to help combat redness and irritation. Oats are not a "new" soothing product for me as I remember my mom filling my sisters and I baths with oats when we had chicken pox way back in the day! As I got older I would create my own face mask concoctions and oats was almost always an ingredient!
I used the product daily in the morning before my makeup application. The addition of SPF 30 is the best part as it is almost spring/summer time in my neck of the woods and I will need some protection from the sun. The label says fragrance-free but I did notice a light floral scent which did not bug me. The product felt light on my skin underneath my makeup and did not leave an oily or greasy residue. It was not the easiest product to spread and I did find that I needed quite a bit of product. It absorbs super fast and I only waited around 5 minutes before my makeup application instead of my normal 10 minutes.
After using the product for over a week I did find that my redness was greatly reduced and I had no irritation or breakouts. My skin was calmed and soothed and feels so nice and smooth! The product is non-comedogenic which means it won't clog pores (yay!) but I would like to know why the product is dermatologist TESTED but not dermatologist RECOMMENDED. Lastly, I did not find this product to nourish my face or moisturize and strengthen my dry skin at all. Even when I have had dry skin in the past my normal moisturizer made it very hard to tell. Using this product under my makeup as my moisturizer showed ALL of my dry spots. It was very noticeable and time never helped it go away. Based on the size of the product, the price ($20 in my local store!), and the fact that it did not help moisture my skin even though it claims to be a moisturizer, I would not recommend this product. I regret saying that as Aveeno is one of my favourite brands, but this product was unfortunately a miss for me.

Aveeno is a brand that I have always heard/known about, but only recently started trying thanks to ChickAdvisor. I have no idea why I didn't hop on the Aveeno train sooner... they rock!
A cleanser is something that I have a love/hate relationship with. I love what they can do FOR my skin, but hate what most actually DO to my skin. Most of them cause me to dry out and leave me red and irritated. The ultra-calming cleanser from Aveeno combines feverfew (related to the calming plant chamomile) with oat. I have made my own skin masks in the past and almost always use oats in my concoctions! I always remember oats being a soothing agent from way back in the day when I had chicken pox and my mom ran me a hot bath with oats!
The bottle is a nice size and is easy to dispense, be careful though because I found a lot came out at a time and only a small amount of this product is actually needed for your whole face! A little bit goes a long way. The gel lathers super easy and spreads easily across the face. Most products that claim fragrance-free on the label usually still produce a tiny scent, but this one is truly fragrance free which is great for those with sensitive skin. Wet face, squeeze cleanser, lather, rinse and dry. Easy peasy. The product left no residue and my skin was super soft and smooth. I used this product first thing in the morning and then again after washing off my makeup at night before bed. My skin after even just one use looked so much better. There was zero redness or irritation and my boyfriend even commented on how amazing my skin looked! The product is definitely gentle and did not give me any irritation.
Overall this product is an AMAZING choice for those with sensitive skin! It helped combat my redness and gave me a great face cleanse with no irritation. I did not find the product to be overly moisturizing however and if I had to choose between this product being moisturizing or drying, I would almost say the latter. I noticed a few more dry spots then usual but it could also be attributed to the changing of the seasons. I found the product for around $10 at my local grocery store and would absolutely pay that for a cleanser that does not irritate my skin and takes all my redness away! I will recommend this to family and friends with sensitive skin! :)

I love hair masks but I like to keep things simple and quick with my busy lifestyle, and waiting 30 mins for a regular hair mask to work isn't in my time budget. Cue the 2 minute magic masque!
The product comes in a 43g package which is LOTS of product! I easily used this twice and if I were a little more stingy on product I am sure I could have got three uses of it on my shoulder length hair. For this reason, I do wish that the package was resealable! The scent is a nice rose scent and is quite strong, but not overpowering. The Murumuru butter couples with it to give off almost a coco-nutty smell and it is delicious! After shampooing, I spread this on my hair and let it sit for approximately two minutes while I washed my face and body and then rinsed! I love that it only takes two minutes to work it's magic! The directions don't specify whether or not to condition after so I tried with conditioner and without and the results were about the same. Conditioned hair was slightly softer but that is about it!
I don't think my hair got the "healthy looking gloss" that was claimed on the package, but it did feel soft and nice. It did not dry out my hair and helped relax the flyaways!
Overall a great product for a great price - especially if you can get a few uses out of each package. I would recommend this as a great mask for color treated hair as my color still looks fantastic but would not recommend it if you are looking for a "shine".

The product claims to be an ultra-nourishing body wash that moisturizer skin leaving it soft and smooth.
The bottle is pretty and chic and would look great displayed on my bathroom counter. That’s always a nice bonus! Love, Beauty & Planet also strives to leave a small carbon footprint and makes their containers out of 100% recycled plastic! Another bonus. It comes with a pump dispenser which is amazing because they are easier to use with wet hands then click dispensers.
The smell is really strong and really pretty. The Rose combined with Murumuru butter leaves almost like a coconut smell that is different then most rose smelling products. I enjoy it much more then other Rose scents. The scent is strong but not overpowering and personally I like to feel clean and also smell clean!
One pump of product worked for my entire body and although it doesn’t lather a whole lot, a little bit does go a long way. It’s easy to rub on your body and application is smooth and easy. Aside from smelling great and cleansing my body, it didn’t really do a whole lot else. I didn’t feel like my skin was smooth and soft. There was no real added benefit other then the scent. I do love that it is a vegan and cruelty free brand so extra bonus points for that but I still would have liked to see better results. I probably would not purchase this again due to effectiveness.

As someone who spends money each month to color my hair, it is always nice to find a fair priced and effective shampoo/conditioner set to help maintain my color until my next appointment. The conditioner set from Love, Beauty & Planet is made with Amazonian Murumuru butter which keeps hair looking vibrant and healthy long after you color treat it.
The bottle is so pretty and chic looking which is an added bonus for me! I love things that look pretty and can be displayed nicely, especially in a bathroom! I also love that Love, Beauty & Planet tries to keep their carbon footprint small and the bottle is made with 100% recycled plastic! It always makes me smile when I see a company committed to helping the environment and makes me feel that much better about choosing it over another brand. I would have preferred a pump dispenser instead of the snap lid (hard to open with wet hands) but overall very impressed with the sleek bottle design. The combination of the Murumuru butter and rose is amazing! Usually rose is not my first choice in scent but this one is not like the nose turning rose scent that most people associate with rose scented products. The combination with the butter smells more like a cocoa butter or coconut scent and it is absolutely delicious! The smell is quite strong, but not overpowering for me, and it lasts well into the next day.
After using the shampoo, I worked this into my hair. A little more product needs to be used then I would like and I also find that it doesn't really "lather" all that much. It kind of just adheres to the hair, which is fine. The product is a "fast rinse conditioner" which saves you from becoming a tangled mess while also conserving water (yay!). I applied, left it for a couple seconds while rinsing my body and then rinsed it out! Viola! It was so soft :)
I love that the product is vegan, and made with organic and ethically sourced ingredients. There are no parabans, silicones or dyes and my hair is so soft. The smell lingers and lasts the next day after washing and my color maintained its vibrancy and looks incredible. I would recommend this to everyone I know who colors their hair as it works incredible, is good for you and the environment, and is affordable!

I am usually not a huge fan of rose scented products but this one isn't the typical "old lady" smelling rose and instead when mixed with the murumuru butter smells more like a cocoa lotion or coconut smell. It is quite strong, but I personally prefer the smell to hang around on my hair after it has dried and did not find it to be overpowering.
The product dispenses nicely and is not to thick. It works into a lather fairly easily but a little more product was needed then what I would prefer. After applying and rinsing my hair felt super smooth. Normally shampoo's leave my hair feeling tangled and gritty in which conditioner comes to the rescue for soft hair, but not this stuff. It was soft with just the shampoo alone. The shampoo is vegan and made with naturally sourced and organic products. There are no silicones, dyes, parabans, or guilt!
After drying my hair still looked incredible. It was soft and the color still looked amazing! It did not feel dry and the smell was sooooo good! I would recommend this product to everyone I know and have already started as people can't stop commenting on the smell of my hair! :) This product works well and comes at an amazing price and I have a feeling it's going to be a staple in my shower from now on!

I was chosen to try the AVEENO ABSOLUTELY AGELESS LEAVE-ON MASK for free from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinion and I loved it! Aveeno is a brand that I have started to use more and more in the last few years as they are great for sensitive skin and are a brand that I know and trust. I have never seen/heard of a "pre-tox" mask before so I was so excited to try this unique and innovative product!
The product comes in a pretty container with a nice pump for dispensing. I LOVE the pump because it helps with transfer and contamination of germs and bugs! It pumps out a nice amount but I personally used about 1 1/2 pumps which was enough to cover my face and neck area. The smell is also really yummy! It has a nice fruity smell upon application which goes away quickly after the product sits on your face. The pre-tox mask has a watery consistency which isn't oily or greasy and is very easy to evenly distribute on the skin. The packaging says that it uses a blackberry complex to help with anti-aging and keeping skin looking young and healthy! I am not a huge believer in anti-aging products but was excited to give this one a go because Aveeno is one of my favourite brands. The product claims to fight the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging, while nourishing the skin!....
The directions were very vague and only say "apply directly to skin as needed". How much? How often? When? I was a little confused but after reading that it works suitably under makeup, I decided to use it as my moisturizer in the morning. It actually feels super lightweight and made me realize just how heavy my other moisturizer was. I hadn't changed moisturizers in 10 years (*gasp*) and was delighted with how light this one felt on my skin. I have been using it every morning for over a week now and I decided on a few things. First, this really does make your skin SO incredibly smooth. After I wash my face and I have clean hands I literally can't stop touching how smooth it is. Secondly, My skin did have a nice healthy glow which was a nice change for my collagen depleted skin. Other then that, it doesn't really live up to it's claims. My fine lines around my mouth and forehead were not visibly reduced unfortunately and were still noticeable. It also does not reduce the appearance of wrinkles which I think is a bogus claim for almost every product except Botox anyways.
The three biggest disappointments in the product for me were that a) the price is quite high for the small tube. I think they should charge around $15 especially if it is not living up to it's claims. b) It actually somehow made my skin really dry. The only thing I changed in my normal skincare/makeup routine was this product and now the areas around my nose and cheeks are flaking and dry. c) It caused me to break out, pretty badly. The breakout could have been me "overusing" the product as it doesn't specify how often to use and maybe it is not meant for an everyday moisturizer? I wish this would have been labelled on the package.
Overall, I still think this is a fantastic product and would recommend it to someone seeking soft and healthy looking skin. It did make my skin really soft and I think it would be best used in moderation!

I tried the BRIOGEO BLOSSOM & BLOOM™ GINSENG + BIOTIN VOLUMIZING CONDITIONER as a sample from Sephora and was immediately intrigued at it's "6-Free Hair Care" label - free of sulfates, parabans, silicone, phthalates, colors, and chemical fragrance! Pretty impressive. Briogeo is based on the belief that beauty shouldn't be compromised by harsh or harmful ingredients and the 6-Free label really reiterates that point. I love companies that strive to do well for us and the environment. Instead of the sulfates and chemicals, the company infuses their products with the finest blends of natural plant and fruit extracts, oils, and antioxidants.
I have wavy hair but the product is great for any hair texture. I used the conditioner after using the shampoo (which I was not a huge fan of!) and hoped for better results! The conditioner does have a subtle smell to it which was pleasing. I like my hair products to smell nice because it helps me feel extra clean. The product came in a large sample size but a lot of product was required for my shoulder length hair and therefore I only got one use out of the sample. The product was quite heavy and thick and was difficult to work into my hair. I found myself adding water to help thin and loosen the product throughout my hair. After rinsing and letting air dry, my hair does seem to have a bit more volume then usual. It claims to promote softness without any sticky residue and that is exactly what it does! My hair feels nice and soft and there is no greasy or sticky mess behind. It also washed out really easily. It costs about $30 at Sephora in which I calculated I would get about 25 uses out of it. That's not a bad deal for a natural high end conditioner. I wish they would revamp the shampoo formula and I would purchase this!
