I chose the Rich Kid coconut oil gel as one of my free samples from my Sephora order. I read the reviews and saw many positive stories and was super excited to try it on my own dead and frizzy hair. I took a shower and used the product after I towel dried my hair. I ripped open the package and found the product to have almost like a chemical smell. I was expecting something with more of a coconut smell but that did not seem to be the case. I read some reviews which said not to use a whole lot of product in which most reviewer's stated that they only used a pea sized amount. So I did just that and woke up the next day with extremely greasy hair. My hair is quite short so I thought that maybe was the problem but unfortunately when I showered and tried it again the second time with less product I had the same greasy results. It also made my hair feel really gritty and it almost seems like I had more knots. On Sephora it says that the product is intended to replenish and moisturize dry damaged hair. For $35 a bottle I definitely think there are cheaper alternatives that will not make such a greasy mess of my hair. I would not recommend this product to anybody and was really disappointed. -

I recieved this product to try for free from L'Oreal and I was extremely disappointed. I have dyed hair so I was excited to try their first ever hair line free of sulphites and chemicals that are harsh on dyed hair. I was so disappointed. First off, it is way overpriced. I found it in the store for $10.99. The bottle was small AND when applying in the shower you need way more product then normal. I used probably double what I normally use. Once on my hair I constantly had to apply water to work up any sort of lather. The smell was okay (I've never heard of Indian lilac before) but it almost had a slight chemical smell that I couldn't help but notice. I let my hair air dry and awaited the results. I found my hair to be more greasy than usual in which I can normally go a few days without taking a shower. But this was not the case. I ended up having to shower the very next day. I would not recommend this new line of hair products from L'Oreal as you don't get a bang for your buck. -

I was honestly so disappointed by this Mascara :( I love to try new mascara's from Sephora but I hate paying a huge amount for a product that I haven't used before and as good as their return policy is, I don't like to waste product. Sephora had two mascaras for me to try for free so I decided on this one because a) it was bigger and b) it was more expensive of the two (sad I know lol). I was expecting big beautiful lashes but that is unfortunately not what I got. The product does NOTHING for length. My lashes are the same size. It does NOTHING for curl, they are still straight. And it just barely makes my lashes thicker. Barely. I would not recommend this product to anyone, especially at their price point. Wow. -

I received this product for free for testing purposes and I'm so happy that I was able to experience these pods! I have never tried a detergent or pod that included Baking Soda or Oxi Clean in it and it honestly does leave my clothing and sheets feeling slightly more refreshed.
The pods are so easy to use. You just throw them in the washing machine and they dissolve in all temperatures of water. SO EASY! Then you let them work their magic. They didn't damage my colours and they left my whites extra shiny! My only complaint is I wasn't crazy about the scent. I'm hoping they come out with other flavours as the product is still new. I have high hopes and will repurchase!

I have no idea how anybody made it beyond the taste to actually review this product?! I also received this product to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion and at first was intrigued by the claims and natural homeopathic benefits. Upon popping the medication out of the package it had a smell that was pretty skunky. Upon the belief that not everything tastes as it smells, I grabbed some water and popped er in my mouth. INSTANTLY spit it out. It tastes like skunk. Ew. I tried again with a different pill and swallowed it faster and chugged some water. All day I was burping skunk followed by gags. Not good. I dont recommend. -

Cliff Bars are one of my favorite mid day snacks to keep my energy levels going and my hunger pangs away. I will start off my saying that they are quite expensive per bar (but not reaaaally if you take into consideration the quality of the product and ingredients) but you can find them in boxes at a great price at Winners and many grocery stores! They are made with all natural ingredients and no preservatives which makes me feel even better about eating them. They are much healthier for you then a normal granola bar or chocolate bar and they make me feel full. They taste amazing and every bar has it's own unique flavour. My favourite is the peanut butter crunch! I recommend this product. -

CHI is a brand that I not only love and use, it is a brand that I trust and would recommend to others. I use their hot hair styling tools, hairspray, frizz control serum, shampoo and conditioner, etc. The CHI Iron Guard Protection Spray is the only product by them that I have not re-purchased. The pro of the product is that it smells fantastic as most of their products do - I actually enjoyed using it for the scent. However, I did not find that it did much of anything in regards to protecting my hair. I straighten or curl my hair twice a week at the most and I never blow dry. There is no reason for my hair to be as damaged as it is considering I use the protectant and have limited use with hot tools. Since switching brands and continuing the same hair care routine I have found that my hair looks and feels much stronger and less damaged. A great product line, but not a very good product. -

I received PowerBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Creamy Chocolate Peanut Butter to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion from ChickAdvisor and after having tried the Lemon Poppyseed flavour first, I did not have high hopes. PowerBar is a brand that I know, trust and love and THIS is exactly why! The reduced sugar was still a nice hint of sweet and did not sacrifice a lick of flavour. The bar was still jam packed with protein and made me feel good about eating it after my workout. Most protein bars are a little dry and chalky and this one of course was no exception but that's the sacrifice that comes with protein bars and great flavour. At $3 a bar this is a great price for lots of protein, fewer calories and less sugar. I would purchase this over a regular PowerBar for sure. Great job! -

I recieved the ProteinBar ProteinPlus Reduced Sugar Lemon Poppy Seed from ChickAdvisor in exchange for my honest opinion and honestly, I really really really wanted to like it. I know and trust the brand PowerBar and I purchase their products regularily. I also really love lemon poppyseed as that's my all time favorite muffin flavour! I've always said "protein bars are glorified chocolate bars" so I was excited when this line came out which would give me all the normal protein but with less sugar! Fail.
It tastes good after the first few bites until you stop chewing it and get a weird aftertaste. Almost like what you would find in an artificial sweetner. Hmmm. The texture was also a bit dry but as someone who eats protein bars on the regular I know that most are chalky and dry as they are packed with protein powder. They are cheap but personally I wouldn't stray from my usual flavours of PowerBars to pick this up instead. The flavour is just not there. I can't see this flavour lasting long and doing well with consumers.

I received the NIVEA Q10 Anti-Age Hand Cream from ChickAdvisor for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This was the first product I used upon opening my box and it made me so incredibly happy! The smell was so nice and it left my hands smelling fantastic. Smell is super important to me when it comes to lotions and creams and this one did not disappoint. It does not smell artificial or like chemicals at all and the scent stays for a few hours after application.
Since my initial testing upon opening the box, I tried applying it in the morning, right after a shower, before bed and randomly during the day and the application is great every time. I don't recommend putting the lotion on wet or damp skin though as it kind of leaves a funny film until dry. It works better then the lotions I have previously used as it applies more smoothly and nourishes and moisturizes my skin with such great care. My hands felt so soft and smooth. It claims to help fine lines and wrinkles in the hands and I cannot attest to that with accuracy. It did not help mine but it did help smooth them.
Overall a great product!
