I went to iYellow Wine Club the other night for my very first lesson on rose wines. I wasn't too familiar with the team or the club or even wine for that matter so I wasn't sure what to expect. I do enjoy a nice glass of rose though since my tastes tend to lean towards the sweeter variety so I was looking forward to the event!
The iYellow club is kind of hidden, it has a speakeasy, exclusive club vibe to the space. You have to go through alley way then find a graffiti'd door that leads you into "the cave". The space is super cute, comfy with a vintage feel while still being sophisticated. You begin by sipping your first wine and then you sit at tables with other guests and the lesson begins. We went through four different wines with a sommelier. The staff is very engaging, informative and really funny. Everyone there seems like they love their job. I did learn about wine, but I found the lesson go by really fast and I was a little lost. If you're really into learning, I would recommend the lcbo classes for a more comprehensive study. Still, the wine was dellliiccciiioouusss. It was paired with a small cheese plate, equally delicious.
If this lessons were around $25, I could totally see myself going every month at least, but at $45, the price is just a bit too steep to make it a casual, girls night out type of thing. It would be like an once-off event. I like the idea of the club too, but the long tables and lesson made it a bit awkward to meet someone, I could them doing a speed dating night or a mixer or industry nights at a lower price that would really work well.
Overall, a fun date night or girls night and I did learn a few things and drank a few glasses so it was cool with me!

My go-to cleansing oil is Shu Uemura and while I love it, it is very much on the $$$ side. When I found out that L'Oreal was offering up a cleansing oil at a great price, I had to try it out. I have been using it for a little while and I have to say, it does a great job of removing makeup. Its a pretty deep clean and I don't find a lot of residue. Oil cleansers are very gentle and perfect for almost every skin type so I highly recommend! -

For the price, this is an awesome cleanser. It contains tea tree oil which is a very effective but natural anti-bacterial product. It helps to get rid of existing pimples but also to stop new ones from forming. Forming cleansers aren't my favourite but an inexpensive tea tree cleanser is usually hard to find in the drugstore so this is always a fave. -

I received this concealer from Pari to test out and review. I wasn't super familiar with Pari before I used it so I wasn't sure what to expect. I found the concealer to be pretty high quality. It's good pigmentation and good coverage. It really works to cover pimples and bumps. I do find that towards the end of the day, it has rubbed off and I need to reapply but it isn't too cakey. One complaint I have is the colour selection. The shades are a little off for me so I use this as a shader or on bumps I want to conceal and recede. For $15, I would totally try this again. -
For the price, this concealer is incredible. It covers blemishes with great colour and it's too cakey or heavy. It also contains salicylic acid which is awesome for those zits. Be wary though- this stuff isn't for dry skin. I would recommend this... +
For the price, this concealer is incredible. It covers blemishes with great colour and it's too cakey or heavy. It also contains salicylic acid which is awesome for those zits. Be wary though- this stuff isn't for dry skin. I would recommend this only for those with oily skin. It's definitely a good product for younger teens. Its a very convenient package and pen tool. I used this up really fast but its so cheap, I wouldn't mind buying a few. -

Beast is one of my favourite spots in Toronto. It's a bistro/tapas joint with all fresh, locally sourced ingredients and specializes in your atypical meats, fishes and veggies for really different, cool take. The plates are all made for sharing and are a little bit smaller. I have loved every dish I have had there. So tasty and well balanced. The cocktails are made perfectly as well. Because they are small sharing plates the price adds up and its a little steep but once in a while, its my go-to special place. My favourite thing is the atmosphere. It's not clubby or too trendy like other places in Toronto. It's relaxing and quiet without being lame. It has a real down to earth atmosphere. And the service is excellent. Every waiter I have had there has been super knowledgeable, courteous and totally on the ball. -

Not my favourite liner. I received this one for free from CoverGirl and though it has some redeeming qualities, the formula just didn't make the cut for me. The felt tip application/marker style is easy to use, but I do wish it was a little thinner and more fine. The formular dries quickly but then when you go over a line, it basically just rubs off and you're left with a bit of a chunky mess on your hands. I actually had to go over this with another liner to get the black, defined line that I wanted. I find that liners are easier to use when its a longer handle as well, this is too short and stumpy to use. It isn't a bad price, but it wouldn't be my first pick in the drugstore. -
