This adorable coffee shop is located in trendy Osborne Village right across from a Starbucks. It's one of the few places in Winnipeg that espresso aficionados can get their caffeine fix done right. I had an espresso macchiato today that rivaled any I've had in Toronto. I also noticed an assortment of fresh croissants and other pastries that were very tempting. Too bad I'm trying to go gluten free. Love the fresh decor with the exposed brick and mint green. Will definitely be back. -

This is a great mascara for someone who wants really bold, impactful lashes. It provides both length and volume in an extreme way. I have average lashes (fullness and length) but with one coat of this they are crazy long. With two coats, I can honestly say these are the craziest lashes I've ever had without wearing false lashes. As in, they practically touch my eyebrows. Obviously I'm a huge fan now.
I would say that if you have long eyelashes already, this may be too much for you. It's that effective. This is perfect for someone with short to medium lashes who wants a really bold look. It does clump on the lashes a bit, as most volumizing mascaras do, but not in a major way. I got this for free to test from the brand. At $23, it's less than I thought it would be. I'm definitely sold on this mascara!

I have long been a fan of Rocky Mountain Soap. I love the fact that the products are natural and made in Canada. This scrub is wonderful for exfoliation and also adds moisture from the oils. More like a soft coral/pink grapefruit. Love the fuchsia one too. I like all 3 colours actually. Gaaah! Can't decide. They are all very wearable.
This was my first time trying anything from Bourjois and I'm really impressed with the quality and longevity of the product. I tried it because I had to talk about it at our ShowCase events and I wanted some personal experience. I've been wearing Color Boost every day since. I just love it!
As far as the price, it's slightly less than I normally pay for a similar product so I'm very happy with that. I will definitely re-purchase when I run out. I personally love having a pop of colour on the lips but it would be nice if they came out with some neutral colours too.

I also like to use it around my nose and above my cheekbones as a highlighter. It's a great price considering I have paid a LOT more for other concealer pens. This is officially part of my daily makeup routine. -

I love that Isaac Mizrahi collaborated on these to bring some much needed style to what is generally a very ugly household staple. I usually hide my tissue boxes in the corner because I find the designs unattractive and often clashing with my decor (don't you?).
I swiped a free box from the office but for $2.49 a box I absolutely will purchase these again.

It has a subtle shimmer to it and the finish is really nice and natural. A few of us in the office all tried it and it looked good on everyone (this does not always happen). You can use it to create a healthy, summery glow. Love it! -

We got a few free extras of these in the office and I had to try it for myself. First of all I was pleasantly surprised by the coconut scent. Lovely! It takes a minute after applying but suddenly your lips start tingling like mad. I was worried that might bother me but it's actually kind of cool! I find the product highly moisturizing and the gloss stays for longer than I thought it would. Overall, I was impressed with this product. It's by far the nicest lip plumper I've tried. -

I love this stuff so much. I've been using Tide forever. Their unscented version is my go to because me and the babies have sensitive skin. I really don't like to mess around with laundry detergent. But I got a free sample of this from the brand and decided to try it (I am nothing if not practical!).
After doing piles of laundry all weekend I can honestly say this detergent rocks. It is scented, but it's subtle. And oh my does it smell good! I like that the scent is fresh, not overpowering, and that it doesn't interfere with my perfume. I also noticed that it's great with stains. For some reason I continue to buy white clothing for my 9 month old (I am nothing if not impractical!) and I bought this really cute little white hoodie for her that was immediately stained with a carrot/sweetpotato combo right on the front. The stain was there for several days until I had a chance to wash it this weekend. After washing it once with Oxiclean the stain is gone.
Had it not been for getting a free sample of this I probably wouldn't have considered this product at shelf because I shop on auto-pilot, but now I would definitely purchase this again.
*Note: I haven't noticed any reactions to this detergent from myself or my two wee ones, but I'm not sure how long that would take if we were to have an adverse reaction.
