If you like cream cleanser you will love the luxury of this one. The scent is subtle but so wonderful I'd love it as a body lotion or perfume. The cleanser is thick and creamy. I put a layer on my face in the bath and it felt so nice to massage it into my skin. The texture is truly luxurious. There is a very specific way you are supposed to wash your face with this, according the package. The following instructions are from their website:
"Use your hands to make fast suction-like motions by quickly pressing down and removing hands. Repeat seven times, working from the center of the face towards the outside, then repeat five times on each side of the neck. The cleanser thickens and produces a "suction" effect that releases and eliminates make-up, impurities and traces of pollution without irritating the skin or disturbing tissues."
I'm sure there is a good amount of science behind that method, but I tend to wash my face the same way regardless of the product (lather, massage, rinse).
I absolutely loved using this on my skin, but for my eye makeup I had mascara all over the place. I even washed my eyes again, but still had major raccoon eyes. For that reason I think this is better to use during your morning shower when you aren't wearing makeup or in conjunction with eye makeup remover.
It's a pricy cleanser at $44 CAD, but as I said it's a very luxurious product and you will really feel like you are pampering yourself when you use it. I was lucky enough to receive a free sample from the brand.

Here's what I like about this deodorant: it smells like spring. The scent is really pleasant and not over-powering. However, this product's efficacy entirely depends on how much you sweat. I consider myself a moderate sweater. If I use this at home on a nice day with the kiddies, I smell great all day - no problems. But if I'm at the office wheeling and dealing, my underarms are wet all day (not sure where the 24 hour dry claim comes from) and the lovely scent becomes quite unpleasant, if you get my drift. So I'm torn as to whether to recommend this or not.
I would definitely recommend it for light sweaters or if you don't get nervous b.o. It washes off easily (some deos leave a gritty feeling, which makes you wonder what exactly is binding to your skin) and doesn't feel like a heavy product. I also didn't notice any white marks on my clothes. But if sweating is your thing and you are counting on dry armpits and nothing but the scent of roses, the roll-on version of this deodorant is not for you. Perhaps try the stick version?
I received a free sample from the brand. I would recommend this to my non-sweaty friends.

This eyelash curler is just too cute! It comes with 2 additional interchangeable finger pads and 2 extra eyelash pads. I love that they thought of that as those pads do wear down, get dirty or fall out over time. The colours of this lash curler make it so much fun to use, which I love because makeup should be fun!
The only cons: The silly name and the fact it is limited edition.
As for the effectiveness, I find it makes a nice curl. Not too much of a kink, which is a big pet peeve of mine. I think it's also reasonably priced. I got mine free from the brand but I would buy it.

I'm a big sucker for Maybelline mascaras. I don't know if it's because they were our first big beauty client or because their products are such great bang for your buck. Probably both. I was a fan of their original Colossal mascara and I think this one is even better. The claim is up to 16X volume. I don't know how that is measured (or even possible), but I can tell you that after applying just one coat it certainly packs a punch.
Here's how this mascara is innovative (according to their press release): The want has a double-curved stem, which allows for an extra shot of volume to be applied in one swipe. The extra large bristles load up each lash with extreme volume, while lifting and fanning them out. The formula contains pro-keratin to plump, strengthen and smooth lashes for a clump free finish.
If you like a chubby brush and loads of volume, this is definitely one to try.

I'm not sure who likes these more - me or my babies! Think of these like guilt-free cheesies that also don't leave an aftertaste in your mouth. My 2 year old and my 8 month old love these. It says it's for 12 months old but my 8 month old wants... +

It says it's for 12 months old but my 8 month old wants to try everything her big brother eats so I indulged her. We especially love the veggie dip and cheddar flavours. Such a yummy treat! -

I put this on before bed and my feet are instantly softer, with long lasting results. I love that the scent is subtle, not over powering. The packaging is cute and cheeky like all Soap & Glory products and it's reasonably priced. This is such a life saver with the cold weather but I'm especially happy to have this for sandal season coming up!
I received my product compliments of the brand but I would definitely purchase this on my own.

This is great for instantly reducing under eye puffiness. I still have my fine lines but I'd rather that than puffy under eyes. The product feels cool when you first put it on and then it feels like it sort of tightens things up. I have tried too many eye creams to count, most of which don't do much. But this one actually works. That's probably why it's $72 for 15 ml. That's pretty steep. But if you really hate having bags, it just might be worth it to you.
Disclosure: I received a free sample from the brand

I have often found Herbal Essences products too strong smelling, but this line up is an exception. The scent is subtle, minty and just lovely. Reminds me a bit of Aveda actually. I love the price point and I would use this more often if my hair wasn't colour treated. I tend to use this towards the end when I am due for a colour but want really clean hair. If I use it earlier I'm afraid my colour will come out (not sure if I'm imaging that). I received this and the matching conditioner for free from an event. I think it's a really solid drugstore shampoo. -

I've been here twice and so far so good! The service is great. Everyone is very friendly and I've found the stylists I've used so far (Darren colour/highlights and Dina for the cut) really good. I also had a great blowdry from Ashley. The front desk had initially recommended Craig and Johanna to me so I may try them at some point as well.
I've gotten compliments on my hair since going here. I am quite happy about the fact they are open on Sundays, which is a huge convenience to me now that I have 2 small kids on top of ChickAdvisor. The atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed and super helpful. Francesco will go out of his way to make sure you have the right stylist and recommend any hair products you may need, but not in a pushy way.
I find the price reasonable given the results and I will definitely keep coming back.
