A lip gloss that looks like a nail polish! I think this is such a cute product.
We got a bunch of colours in the office to try from the brand. There is a good amount of gloss (4ml) and a little wand in the lid for applying it. I find it quite moisturizing and the formula sheer enough that it is forgiving, but enough colour pay off to make an impact. It also has a pleasant slightly fruity scent, which is nice.
I tried the shade Flirty Lips, which is a gentle peach shade. Thumbs up!

I attended the launch of this new app and was really excited to learn about it as I love testing out new apps and especially ones with time saving technology. The way this app works is you upload a picture of yourself, your banking info (or link to your existing paypal account) and you can use your phone to pay at restaurants and cafes. Ridiculously easy. It tells you which restaurants in your area accept this form of payment automatically. So if I'm at the office I can see that my favourite coffee shop (Sense Appeal) accepts it and if I'm at home I can see which places in my neighbourhood accept it.
Right now for Canada it's only about 50 restaurants, cafes and bars in Toronto that accept this form of payment. It's also available in some cities in the US and Europe. They plan to expand beyond that and I really look forward to when it's more readily available because with 2 small kids I have forgotten my wallet on more than one occasion. Oh, did I mention that? You can leave your wallet at home. Your photo on the app is your ID. Brilliant, right?
They also display coupons that vendors are offering that are automatically applied to your account when you make a purchase. All you have to do is check-in at the location (it's private - doesn't go anywhere), tell the cashier you are paying with paypal and then you're done.
There are a few more features I'd love to see to give it 5 stars:
I'd love to see more vendors on the list as well as the ability to search by neighbourhood or postal code. So if I'm at home, deciding where to go for dinner I can search to see which restaurants are on board or look up a specific area.
It would be ideal to have reviews tied to it. They could plug into google's api.
Would love to have the ability to print off the receipts from the app. Right now it displays the receipts but would be great if I could print or email them to myself directly from the app.
Right now it's just for restaurants. Would love to see retailers get on board with this.
Overall: Very convenient to use and it's free!

I am really happy with these wipes. I've tried a lot and a big criteria for me is can it take off my eye makeup? I hate it when you have to use 3-4 wipes and scrub and scrub at my eyes to get off my mascara and I'm not even wearing waterproof. These are the most effective at removing eye makeup that I've tried. The scent is a bit on the stronger side. I don't mind it. But if you are sensitive to fragrance the scent doesn't last on your skin. These are also designed to brighten your skintone at the same time, which is a new feature. I got mine free from an event but I would purchase this myself. -

I (unfortunately) had the pleasure of testing this out last week. I say unfortunately because cold sores are gross, let's be honest. When my husband came home with this from the drugstore I was dubious. I have to say that I'm so pleasantly surprised with how well these work. It doesn't cure it over night, but my cold sore outbreak lasted a shorter amount of time (by a few days) and it wasn't as severe as it usually is. Most importantly it was far less noticeable. I will admit I snorted when I first saw the commercial with the model putting her lipstick on top of the patch and meeting a cute guy. But you actually can put lipstick and makeup on this. People in the office were saying they couldn't even see it on my face.
The trick is to re-apply new ones throughout the day (I used 2-3 in a 24 hour period). They start to become more noticeable as the day wears on because they get wrinkled from smiling, chewing, etc.
I also found that my cold sore was less painful that usual. It's not cheap for a package (around $20) and I used the entire thing for my outbreak, but for the embarrassment and the discomfort, I think it's worth it. I will absolutely use these again for my next outbreak.

If you love the scent of Moroccanoil products you won't be disappointed by this. It smells wonderful, a little goes a long way and your skin stays lightly fragrant long after the shower.
Given the price tag of $26 for 200ml this is more of a special occasions body wash than every day for me. It would also make a really nice gift for someone when paired with the lotion. I received a free sample from the brand and it's currently the body wash I want to use the most (despite what I just said). Thumbs up!

I got this in Azure for free from the brand. I LOVE the colour. It's a rich denim blue that I think is very flattering with blue eyes without looking 80s inspired. It's a twist up and the liner is smooth to apply. It comes with a smudger at the end, which is a nice feature. I do find it can travel a bit by the end of the day. Not tragically so, but something that prevents me from giving this the full five stars. I adore the colour and will continue to use it. -

These scarves are stylish and practical. They look like a normal infinity scarf, but have built-in functionality to wear as a nursing cover when you are out in public. I absolutely love the concept as I am often breastfeeding in public and I find a lot of the nursing covers too large and cumbersome or too small/flimsy to be effective - especially when baby gets to the stage where she likes to grab and the cover and whip it off, revealing your lady lumps.
Because of the way this is made, you can nurse discretely in several different ways. There are some helpful photos on the website with different ways to do this. The scarf is a lightweight material, so baby doesn't get too hot under there.
I love the stylish prints available. Mine is a rose print and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it.
This is a new, small business owned by an innovative, creative Mom. It isn't widely available aside from their website, though there are several on and offline retailers that carry it. I think the product is really great, but the packaging could use some polishing and some washing instructions sewn in would be really useful.
I received mine for free from the owner, but I would absolutely purchase this and recommend it to others. At $40, it is less expensive than other options on the market but decidedly more stylish and practical.

This is a game changer for eyebrows. I'm so glad I had the chance to try it, because had it not been given to me I'm not sure I would have bought it. Now after just a few days, I would classify it as a Must Have.
I have somewhat over plucked brows and don't feel comfortable leaving the house without filling them in a little. Depending on how rushed I am, they sometimes look too sparse, too heavy or uneven. Enter Gimme Brow. It's like a coloured brow gel except instead of just setting your eyebrows into place (and *shudders*) making them crunchy, it is a brush on fibre gel that actually adds brows where there were none before. And it does it in such a natural way, you would never know those weren't your natural brows. Brows look even, tidy and are soft to the touch.
It's $26 and the product is small but this falls into the 'worth every penny' for me.

This is a gorgeous free ap, which is the story of a little bird named Gerry who gets lost in New York. We have all of the Ink Robin aps as my 2 year old son and I are big fans. This story is one of their best. It's done in a very fresh original format with cute quirky cartoon characters against a backdrop of beautiful New York City photography.
There are a lot of clever details in this story and it's fun discovering what will move or make a sound. My son particularly loves the breakdancing pigeons.
These stories keep my boy entertained more than a video and I don't feel bad about the screen time because he is engaging with the story rather than passively watching.
P.S. Adults will get a kick out of this too!
Highly recommended!

I actually love this stuff and I have very sensitive combination/oily skin. This does a fab job taking all of my makeup off (mascara too) without drying out my skin. It is one of my favourite cleansers and for the price and efficacy, it can't be beat. I got mine for free from the brand but it would be my first choice if I needed to purchase another cleanser. -
