I was given a few DER BLANC. products to try from a friend who is helping to bring this line of Korean skincare products to Canada. I received 3 products to try and this one was my favourite.
The consistency is a little bit thicker than a typical toner. It's not as watery with a hint of a gel like quality to it so I am able to apply it using just my fingers. It also applies nicely with cotton pads, but I prefer to just use my fingers.
It contains Alpha Lipoic Acid, Glutathiuon, Tranexamic Acid and Niacinamide. There are also some natural extracts from Tomatoes, Licorice Root, Linseed Oil and Water Lily flowers.
There is no noticeable scent. What got me hooked on this toner was how my skin looks immediately on applying it. My skin looks fresh and a little bit dewey. I have been using this in conjunction with their DER.CONCENTRATE Niacinamide Plus for just over a month now. I am very picky about my skincare and I would not hesitate to recommend this.

I took my two kids here for much needed haircuts as we were visiting from out of town.
The salon was close to where we were staying and had great reviews. There were two stylists there when we arrived and no other customers came the whole time. We arrived 10 minutes late, which I immediately apologized for but one of the stylists was pretty rude, snapping at my kids to take off their jackets faster since they had other customers to serve. Like I said not a single other customer arrived the whole time we were there.
One of the stylists did a good job with my son’s cut. If my review was just about her it would have been higher. She was much friendlier than the other stylist who was doing my daughter’s hair. Unfortunately I didn’t catch either of their names.
My daughter’s cut - just awful. In fact we are sitting in another salon right now on the other end of town getting it fixed. She came in with long straight hair, all one length. I asked her to trim one inch and just follow what the prior stylist had done. That is not what she did. Horrible choppy layers all around, shorter at the front and longer at the back like and overgrown brutally hacked mullet. When we got home and my daughter saw her hair in the mirror she cried.
I am confident I could have cut her hair better myself and I have never cut hair. I am honestly amazed at how bad it was. I wish I would have noticed in the salon so they could have done something about it, but really that person should not be cutting hair. We will not be back.

I discovered this blush on a trip a couple of years ago. It was an impulse drugstore buy so I had no real expectations. I bought shade #5 (Luminoso) and was immediately impressed. It adds the perfect natural flush to my cheeks. I love it so much more than any blush I've tried.
My daughter recently stole the blush from my makeup bag and hid it in her room (she's 6 but loves it too - haha!) and I was in a panic as I haven't noticed this in Canadian drugstores yet. Luckily I found it on Well.ca and quickly ordered another. Fantastic product! Great price too.

I recently bought 4 tubes when they had a sale. The formula is high quality and it's vegan and gluten free. I will continue to buy this for years to come. -

I actually tried this product for the first time at our Cinq à Sept event and was blown away by how much moisture you could get from just a tiny amount. Don't be fooled by the light whipped texture. It just keeps going and going! I started on my elbows because whose elbows don't need some TLC but had to continue with my whole arm because I had so much product left to rub in. This will be by my bedside table all winter to save my skin from the harsh dry cold. I love it! -

I am absolutely loving this mascara. It was the first thing I wanted to try from our Cinq à Sept because you can never have too many mascaras! I think the wand design is absolutely genius. You can decide if you want to have more natural looking longer lashes or if you want some major volume just by twisting the wand to adjust the brush length.
Funny conversation I had with a friend: Twist BEFORE you apply, not during application. In case you were wondering. :) :)
The default position is long for more natural looking longer lashes. I think this is the setting I prefer because it's a flawless non-clumpy look. I then like to add a second layer with the wand shortened to add some extra volume. I have also tried applying the mascara on just the shorter setting but find that is a clumpier look than I'd like. I love having the option to switch between natural and dramatic, just with a twist of the brush. Such a smart design. Whoever thought of this is a genius!

Bought this for my 6 year old for her birthday. Thought it would be a fun craft for her. Wrong! It was an infuriating craft for me! Where to begin? This is designed for small, elfin fingers. It requires lots of threading of very small plastic beads through unraveling silver thread. I'm embarrassed to say how long it took me to put this together. The most frustrating part was that there is not a single extra piece of anything! Not a single extra thread, sticker or bead. The entire time I was making it I would hear the beads rolling off the table onto the floor and I was thinking, "I hope there are extras!". No. There weren't. At the end I was down on all fours crawling under my dining table looking for beads to complete the job.
Miraculously, I was able to assemble 3 mostly completed flower lights. Then went to hang them in my daughter's room. Guess what? The light comes in 3 settings: Fast strobe light, Slower strobe light and Blinking. Obviously optimal for a peaceful night's sleep to be under a strobe light. The on/off switch is tiny so the child ends up scrunching the entire fragile creation in their hand to turn it off.
Now on to the quality. The bulbs are battery operated and seem ok quality. The rest of of it is pretty flimsy. I will be interested to see how long this lasts.
Overall, a very frustrating experience. Definitely not for any kid under 10 to assemble themselves, definitely not for everyone up to age 97 as the box says.
I will say though, my daughter was thrilled once we hung them up in her room. They look pretty cool in the dark. Apparently tomorrow we will be having a dance party with her new "disco ball lights". Her rating would probably be 5 stars so I've boosted mine a bit to take that into consideration.
What I think would make this toy better is higher quality materials, with extras to account for tiny pieces going missing during assembly, a setting on the bulb where the light can just be on without blinking in a bright and a dimmer version (no need for multiple strobe options), and then an auto-off function once the lights have been on for a certain period of time to conserve battery.

I've been testing these lip colours to decide which one to wear to ShowCase and I'm obsessed. The formulations are so rich and creamy. Just a dot of colour is enough to spread over my entire lips providing full coverage. The colour lasts for hours and when it fades, it does so evenly so it still looks nice. Often I find lipstick fades from the centre out and you end up looking like a clown unless you keep reapplying. Not the case with this gloss. It's not shiny or sticky and does not have a taste. It's just perfect.
The only thing I find is that the colour payoff is a bit darker than what you see in the tube, so I'd say go for shade that is slightly lighter than what you'd normally buy.
I usually buy brands like Bite and Tarte so am comfortable with the price point for the quality. I also think this would make a nice gift. It feels luxurious.

I bought this for my daughter for her 5th birthday as she had been begging for it every time she saw it in the store. It was $13. What is it? A tray with slime that looks like and is marketed like, something you could eat (Snackables!) but it is all unsafe to eat or get near your eyes, nose or mouth. You are supposed to thoroughly wash your hands after using.
There are supposed to be 3 figures that come with it to dip in the slime. Ours had two. The slime is refrigerated for 15 mins and then you dip the characters into it and they are supposed to change colour. Nothing happens.
Basically what you get is a couple of cheap plastic toys and a tiny pot of slime that does nothing. It is a total waste of money and something I feel unsafe letting my kids play with unsupervised because they were both convinced it would be ok to put in their mouths.
Horrible toy and I don't know how this even got on the market given the dangers of kids eating it.
I've put it aside until my daughter forgets about it and then it will go in the garbage.
