LOVE these! I have tried so many facial towelettes like these from so many brands and rarely do they get my makeup off without scrubbing, scrubbing and then at some point breaking down and washing my face. And I never wear waterproof makeup. Though these don't get every scrap of eyeliner off if I am wearing on camera makeup, they do a great job of taking off all of my day to day makeup. They don't irritate my sensitive skin and I find I don't have to use that many to get everything off. -

This body wash is creamy and soothing and has coconut, soy and jojoba oils. I like the 500ml size because it lasts awhile. I received this compliments of the brand but I would definitely purchase on my own. -

This is a professional line that is suitable for all hair types. I have colour treated hair that is highlighted every month, so I have to be really careful about what I use. I have been using this together with the shampoo for the past couple of weeks and I really like it! My hair feels extremely clean and soft. I'm not crazy about the scent because it reminds me of men's bodywash but I will continue to use it because my hair feels so good.
I can't comment on the shine aspects because it's really hard to tell with lighter coloured hair. I received this compliments of the brand.

This is a line of professional haircare that I've just started using and so far I really like it! The scent isn't exciting for me, in fact it's the one thing I don't care for (reminds me of men's body wash). However in terms of cleaning my hair and leaving it soft, smooth and feeling really healthy this gets big points from me.
The line is designed to bring out the shine in hair. I find that hard to measure with light coloured hair so I can't comment on that. I just really like how soft, clean and healthy my hair feels after use.
Shampoo and conditioner is something I'm not afraid to invest in since my hair is colour treated so frequently. This stuff isn't as expensive as what I normally pay so that's another bonus. I received mine compliments of the brand.

The exfoliating beads are made with corn meal and walnut shell and are ground super fine. I got mine for free from the brand but it is definitely something I would purchase. It retails for just under $10.

I was in desperate need to get my roots done and I was able to squeeze into a last minute appointment with Diane. I have a lot of hair and it is highlighted with a base colour, so it's not the quickest application. Thankfully, Diane did a great job. She obviously knows what she's doing because she looked at my hair for only a few moments, yet was able to do a perfect colour match without referencing a colour shade book.
The scalp massage was wonderful too, though it would have been better if the person washing my hair had shorter nails.
Overall I am happy with the results, but I have a few comments about the level of service from the staff. I was left waiting a number of times while there. I waited almost half an hour for my appointment to begin and waited again halfway through my colour for my stylist to do something else for another client. It's not the kind of place where you feel special. That is something they could work on. The person who brought me a glass of water had obviously just come in from a smoke without washing her hands because my water smelled so smoky, I couldn't really drink it. The smell just lingered and lingered...
I would go back to Diane for colour, but I think the salon as a whole needs to step it up a notch. I paid $140 plus tax and tip for my colour. Blowdry not included.

This yogurt is my favourite. I like to buy it plain and add things to it like berries, granola, cinnamon or maple syrup. My one year old loves it too!

I have to give this spa a mediocre rating because while it's beautiful and has great potential to be a wonderful experience, the service is sorely lacking. I went for a one hour Swedish massage on Saturday and went from being a bit disappointed to angry about the whole experience.
When I arrived, they showed me where to change and leave my things. They mentioned a form I was to fill out, but I was never provided with one. Neither were a number of the other guests so we all ended up hurrying to fill out the forms while our therapists waited and the clock was ticking on our appointments.
I had booked a one hour Swedish massage, which is supposed to be a full body massage but I only got my upper back and neck done. I'm assuming this happened because when I met the RMT, he asked if I had any areas that were bothering me. I told him I had issues with my neck and showed him where. What I didn't realize is that he was going to spend the whole time only working on my sore areas and ignore everything else completely. I kept waiting for the massage to carry on to the rest of my body, but that never happened.
When I was paying for my service, I asked the front desk how this was normally supposed to work. The girl at the front desk said it should have been a whole body massage. I said that wasn't the case for me and that while I can appreciate the effort the masseuse took for my sore areas, I would have preferred to have been given the choice of full body or only doing one area. I just said I thought it was important to communicate to someone if they aren't going to receive the service the way it was booked. Though I didn't ask her to, she immediately went off to get the Spa Director, who declined to come and speak to me. Another staff member who was standing at the desk and overheard offered me a 20% discount, but the original staff member told her not to give me the discount because the Spa Director was going to "investigate" and call me back. That was 2 days ago and I haven't heard a peep.
I left feeling angry at the way it was handled. They made me feel like I was the problem. Offering a discount and then reneging it is worse than not offering anything at all. The Spa Director failing to follow up is even worse.
For a spa of that caliber I would expect much more professionalism than the way this was handled. On another note, the one toilet in the change room doesn't flush. Guests are invited to use the staff washroom with the utility room down the hall. Nice.
I will update my review when/if I hear back from the Spa Director. I am still hopeful they will redeem themselves. It really is a lovely spot.

I put up with the bad writing in Twilight because I liked the story. But in this case it's bad writing and a bad story. I'm not sure how this will end up being a romance with such a twisted beginning. The whole domination angle is really disturbing to me. I'm not sure yet if I'll finish the first book. Maybe it redeems itself? Or maybe the trilogy will appear as a donation at the end of my driveway for someone else.

Rdio is a monthly subscription service where you can listen to and download unlimited music, create playlists, follow lists of other users, and share them through social media. I've been trying a free membership for the last few weeks and I'm totally addicted. If you are a fan of Skype, these are the same creators so it's a really simple user interface.
What I like best about Rdio is it's a really cheap way to listen to music. A basic membership is $5 a month and there is no limit to what you can listen to. I definitely spend more than $60 a year downloading albums from iTunes. With a membership like this, while you can purchase the albums you like, you don't necessarily need to since you can listen to them at any time. I also think it's really cool how you can see what your friends are listening to and listen to it yourself. You can listen on any device and download albums for the duration of your membership.
If, like me you think that letting people see what you listen to is the equivalent of being seen in your underwear, (yes I'm in my 30s and I do listen to Justin Bieber) you can mark your collections as private.
There really is no downside to the service. I haven't encountered any buffering and I love that you can listen to entire albums rather than purchasing it and finding out after that the preview from iTunes made it sound way better than it was.
From a usability perspective it would be nice to be able to search by genre and I think the design is so simple that some of the functionality is hidden but anyone can use this and I think this will become huge.
