This mascara not only does a great job with volume and length, it holds the curl ALL DAY LONG. Like until you go to bed at midnight all day long. I'm really impressed with it. No flaking either, which is huge pet peeve for me. The only drawback is I find it a little bit harder to wash off than most mascaras. It's not waterproof, but takes almost as long to wash off as waterproof mascara. Still, for the results it's a minor inconvenience I don't mind.
I received mine free from the brand, but it's definitely a mascara I would purchase.

I actually like this for myself! I used this on my baby for the first few months but he developed eczema so I had to switch to something moisturizing. I don't know if it's because of the winter or if the product was a bit too drying for him. Either way, this has a lovely scent and I would continue to purchase it for myself! -

This is an ultra moisturizing body lotion that keeps my skin hydrated all day long in the winter. I have very dry skin as soon as the temperature drops so I need something thick enough to last, but I don't like feeling greasy. This is the perfect cream for that. The basil lemon scent is fresh without being overpowering. I believe it comes in fig and other scents as well, which I'd like to try as I do prefer more musky scents vs. fresh.
The packaging is beautiful and I like that it's in a squeeze tube vs. a tub as that's less messy. I like that KORRES products are more natural as that's something I always look for in anything I use.
I received this compliments of the brand but it's definitely something I'd buy on my own.

I really regret buying this car seat. Yes, it's devastatingly good-looking. Yes, it's one of the top rated for safety. Yes, the bright red geranium colour goes great with baby's skin tone AND it was made by good looking Italians but no, I am not happy with this purchase. It's so freaking heavy, I can barely drag my son in it. I have bumped him in it more times than I can count trying to carry him from the house to the car. In fact, it is one of the heaviest car seats on the market - something I wish I would've taken note of before buying it. My baby is almost 16 pounds and between that and the weight of this seat, I feel like I'm hauling about 50lbs worth.
Another complaint is the new adaptor that you buy for this if you have an Uppababy stroller. I'm not sure who to blame for this one. I'm pretty sure it's Uppababy, but it's something you need to consider if you want to put these two together. the new adapter is extremely cheap and flimsy. Mine has already broken twice in 3 months. Thankfully, Uppababy was kind enough to send me one of their older versions that is MUCH better and works like a dream. A friend of mine with the same stroller purchased the Graco car seat, which is considerably lighter and has a better adapter for Uppababy. She definitely made the better purchase.

This is such a gorgeous store. Recently opened by long time Bloor West Village residents, Diana Ross and her husband Gord, it is a carefully curated consignment furniture shop. Items are timeless and in impeccable condition. The prices are within reason. What's funny is before this store opened, there is a certain house I often walked by with the most perfectly manicured front yard and I always wondered whose it was. Well it belongs to Diana and Gord. That explains the look of A Changing Nest. That same careful eye for design and detail makes this one of those stores that you walk into and want to look at everything because it's so visually appealing. Annette just east of Jane is an up and coming area. This store is a perfect addition. I highly recommend you check it out! -

Luma's great. Not only are the dishes delicious, they are created from local ingredients. The ambiance is upscale trendy, so it's a great place to come on a date. The prices are more expensive than Canteen (also an O&B;restaurant) downstairs, but it's more intimate. Everything we ordered was perfection and the service was impeccable. We actually came with our baby, which could have been a problem but the staff were very accommodating. We told our waiter early on that we'd have to eat quickly because we were on a baby timer (so to speak), so he made sure everything came quickly and that we weren't kept waiting for the bill. We will absolutely be back. Often. -

This is a really unique training facility. Unlike other gyms where you pay a monthly fee to workout among the motivated masses, this health club is strictly for personal training and targeted classes such as Fit Mom for women who have just had a baby, Fit Woman, The One Percent Club (focusing on self-defense and sport fighting - how cool is that?) and several others targeted to specific groups.
I have tried both the beginner and advanced Fit Mom classes and love them both. The first class is free and after that you can either pay $20 per class or buy a package of classes per month that works out to $15 a pop. The classes typically have 4-5 moms in them with their babies so you get a lot of individual attention.
If you want to workout one on one with a trainer, sessions are around $90/hour.
All of the trainers here are quite fit as many have competed professionally. Owner Brent Bishop is an author, actor, fitness model, fitness expert on the Marilyn Denis show and more. That gives you an idea of how serious this stuff is.
I highly recommend it.

Danger! May lead to daily consumption!
I am so addicted to this stuff. Seriously the yummiest chocolate ever! It's fair trade creamy Belgian milk chocolate with rice crips in it for a hint of crunch. There are only 7 ingredients (unlike the chemical concoction found in a regular chocolate bar) and it's made in Canada. Montreal, specifically!
It's about $4 a bar, depending where you find it but it's big and rich enough you can/should it it over several days. I try not to eat more than 1 or 2 rows in a day. It comes in many delicious flavours including maple crunch, dark chocolate, pure milk chocolate, espresso, sea salt, earl grey tea and many others but this one's my fave.
A very worthy indulgence in my opinion!

This is a light coverage foundation that gives my skin a more even appearance without looking caked on. My skin looks fresh, almost dewy when I wear it, but not oily. I quite like it! I don't like heavy foundations unless I am doing on camera work so this is perfect for day to day. It works well when used with your fingers, but I prefer to apply it with a foundation brush. I have it in Ivory and I got mine compliments of the brand. -

This makes my hair feel like it does after a blowdry at a salon. It's a conditioning treatment that you use in the shower, leave on for 5 mins after shampooing and then rinse out. It's designed for fine to normal hair, which I have. My hair is incredibly silky and soft after using it and it doesn't build up at all. I got this in a swag bag from an event for free but I would absolutely purchase again. -
