I'm in love. I grew up using Wella products but it's been a really long time. This is from their professional line and I swiped it from a swag bag Alex got from a P&G;event. I have a lot of hair but the strands are fine, so it's perfect for me. Using this together with the conditioning treatment leaves my hair incredibly silky smooth, clean and smelling great. The best part is I feel none of the buildup I was getting from the Moroccanoil products I was using. I will definitely repurchase when it runs out. -

I got a free pr sample and was excited to try it out as I haven't tried their products recently, but this mascara is not for me. I found there was very little difference between wearing this and nothing at all. Very little for length and volume and my eyelashes felt dry and brittle though thankfully, they didn't flake. I have medium length and thickness to my eyelashes naturally so I thought this would work well.
This one's a no for me.

I'm going to have to be the first naysayer here. I bought the shampoo and conditioner from Beauty Supply Outlet a few months back because I love the scent of this stuff and thought it would be great for my dry hair. While it does smell nice, my hair feels heavy and weighted down with it. It's as though I haven't fully rinsed my hair, even though I rinse it more with this stuff than any other conditioner because that was happening. I'm not sure if I'll finish the bottles. At about $40 for the two small bottles, I don't think it compares to other similar priced products. -

This is a digital storybook that you download as an app for your iphone or ipad. It's best done through the ipad as there are a lot of fun, features. I really think ebooks are the way of the future because they're so interactive and can't be destroyed like a traditional book. I am privileged to know the people behind Ink Robin, who created this super cute interactive ebook!
It's the story of Kate Middleton and Prince William, told with British voices, sheep that baaaah and fireworks that bang. It is utterly adorable. You click on different items on the screen to make them move, make a sound or say something. It's fun figuring out what each thing does. I think kids would love this, but I have to admit, It's fun for adults too. At $4, it's considerably cheaper than physical book you'd buy in store, but this one can't get slobbered on or have the pages torn. Highly recommended!

I wish they had this store in Toronto! The clothes are great. Very stylish, well made and so reasonably priced. They are always having sales on top of that so you can get some really great deals. My husband came home with a big bag of stuff for our son for under $250. Oh - and they're ok with breast feeding now (in case you heard about the incident from a few years ago).
Highly recommended!

There are two locations for this store. The other is on Queen St. E. It's absolutely adorable. They carry high quality items for mom and baby that are eco friendly and stylish. They have everything from clothing and kid's toys to baby carriers and a few types of strollers. I bought a baby carrier and a bebe au lait nursing cover but there were so many things I wanted in this store. They have the most adorable toddler loveseat that I really want. This is the kind of store where it's easy to be distracted as there are so many beautiful things to choose from. -

Bloor West Village needed a cafe like this. Though there are Timothy's, Starbucks and other chains in the area, there are very few independent cafes that know how to pour a good espresso.
This tiny cafe is located on Bloor at Jain and owned by a bubbly German named Wibke (pron. Vibke). She bakes all of her own pastries, including delicious chocolate croissants, muffins and loaves. The prices are the same as what you'd pay at Starbucks but the quality is so much better.
Try the mocha latte. It's my favourite!

What irks me about this product is the following:
* It's pretty expensive for one long piece of fabric that you could make yourself.
* It's really complicated to use, requiring a manual and instructional video. As a new Mom you may not have the patience. I didn't.
* Getting the baby in is a two person job unless you really know what you're doing, which takes practice. If you are at home by yourself you may be frustrated.
Some people such as my lactation consultant suggest this can be worn as a shirt. It can't. Unless fashion is of no concern to you.
This gets a thumbs down from me.

I just bought this at Baby on the Hip (a really cool store in Toronto that all Moms should check out). It's $139, which is considerably cheaper than the $200 Baby Bjorns and other carriers out there, but it's so much easier to use and my baby loves it. He's a newborn but he doesn't like facing inwards and he doesn't have the patience for me to fumble with many clips and ties. I had purchased the Moby wrap before he was born, not realizing how complicated it was. Who has time to read a multi-step manual and watch an instructional video when you have a squalling newborn who just wants to you to start moving already?
This carrier has all of the support at your waist, rather than you back which is much more comfortable since a woman's center of gravity is at her hips.
I use this either for going for walks or doing things around the house when he wants me to hold him. I just wish I had purchased this before rather than wasting money on that silly wrap!
