I love lavender and mint scented cleaning products! I bought a bunch of Seventh Generation products from Well.ca when they were having a sale a couple of weeks ago and this was one of them.
As far as a washing liquid, it's just as effective as anything else I've tried. I now exclusively buy more natural products for my dishes, laundry and most skincare products. The scent is subtle so if you are worried about fragrance, this one is gentle. In fact, I wouldn't mind a bit more scent. It makes washing dishes enjoyable.
I also love that it doesn't dry my hands out because I never remember to wear dish gloves. I will definitely buy again.

The spy pen is something my son begged for at Christmas last year and that was the first I'd heard of it. It writes in invisible ink and the light on the cap shows what has been written. My boy thinks it's the coolest thing ever. I bought ours at MasterMind Toys for something like $7(ish) - I think? But I just found it on Indigo for about $5.
Great novelty gift idea, just a little pricy for what you get. I'd still buy it again.

I have been going to Prive in the Junction for a few years. They recently opened up this new location in the Kingsway so I have started going there. My stylist is Patricia, one of the owners. She does my cut and colour. I am very, very happy with the quality of her work.
I have been bleaching my hair from dark brown to blonde for many years. When I first started seeing her my hair was like straw. I had been going to a couple of different salons in the west end and the last one I was at had been too aggressive with the bleach, highlighting my hair every 5 weeks. My hair went from being in good condition to terrible in a few months.
The first thing Patricia did was make a plan for my hair that involved bleaching it way less, without me having the dark (and grey) roots I was concerned about. Now I'm at the point where she is only bleaching my hair every 3rd visit or so (works out to a max of 4 times per year). My hair is in MUCH better condition now. She does root touch ups on the visits in between that do not involve highlights.
This plan means that Prive makes less money off of me because I am spending less per visit than I was on the other salons where I was getting my hair highlighted every visit. But Patricia is smart because she recognizes that keeping my hair in good condition = me being a long term client with healthy hair. At the rate I was going before it would soon need to be chopped off and I would have been miserable. I am very grateful to Patricia for putting the quality of my hair above her own profit and because of this will be loyal for years.
As for the salon, it is beautiful and airy. Everyone is so friendly. There is a Starbucks across the street but they also offer coffee, tea etc in the salon. If you can't get an appointment at this salon they still have the other location in the Junction you can go to. Also a fabulous salon.
I'm very happy with my experience here and will continue to come here for years.

What it's not ideal for is sending to school because it may leak if tipped over. We had a couple of incidents with that. For school, I'd recommend the bottles that can close completely. This one does close but can easily flip open.
I'd still buy it for at home but likely not for back to school.

I have a few of these containers with different characters. I've been using them for my son's school lunches for two years and they are still in perfect condition. Good quality, cute and durable.
They are also really easy for little kids to open, which is really important at school when you are not there to help them. I am definitely buying more this fall when my daughter starts school.

I read this book on a trip last year and I could barely put it down. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the first few pages take a while to draw you in but then it's so beautiful and riveting you have to finish it. It's one of the few books I've kept after reading because I'd like to read it again some day. Usually once I've read something once I'm happy to pass it along. It's easily one of the best books I've ever read. -

This deodorant is amazing!! We had a couple extra in the office from a recent campaign and I decided to give it a try. The best way I can describe it is that my armpits smell good all day long. Due to my daily stress, that is a miracle. I have tried many other deodorants and none compare. Fresh dry armpits all day. I continue to be surprised by that. And I really like the scent! It's very subtle so doesn't conflict with any perfume or body cream. It washes off just as easily as the natural deodorants I use, which is both unusual and appreciated. This is my go-to from now on. I got mine free as mentioned above but I will absolutely purchase when I run out. Best deo on the market! -

This is one of the products featured in the welcome bag for ChickAdvisor Premium and I had the chance to try it. It has a lovely delicate scent and the formula feels gentle. It's not too thick and the lather is minimal. The scent is not overly citrusy, which I appreciate because that can sometimes be overkill. I have never tried this line before so was pleasantly surprised. I love that it is from France because in my mind, everything from France is fabulous. This is an easy product to love. -
