An ode to BB cream. Perfect for the days where you want to look minimalist and fresh at the same time. I usually keep coming back to BB creams instead of full coverage foundation, because I find if you spend good money on skin care, you can be cheap with foundation. If you're on the market for a cheap, slap on your face and you're done kind of BB cream then this is a good place to start. I find it works best if you apply it with a foundation brush/buffer than when you do with a sponge or your hands. I'll apply this over my Vichy mineral tinted sunscreen, and it give's great coverage of redness and pores. Keep in mind that this is not a full coverage product, so if you do have some pesky spots, I recommend going over with a light concealer. I also love the way it feels on my skin. It always gives a burst of freshness and moisture, without the grease monkey look after a few hours. It's biggest downfall would be the shade range. I am very cool toned fair, and this is just a tad bit tan for me. It's not Oompa Loompa orange, but just a shade to dark to the point I have to bring it down to my neck. Overall I would purchase this product again as it performs better than other drug store brands on the market. -

I really wanted to like this. It's a cliche saying in the makeup community, but it reigns true. Although this product is affordable, you can't keep using that as an excuse for bellow quality products. ELF products are usually a great bang for your buck, but I feel in recent years they have been so desperate to keep up with makeup trends that they just keep shelling out new products every week. It's because quantity over quality. The shade range is great, it is a first I've been able to find an ELF product that is a cool toned fair (They are getting better though!) but talk about CHALLLLKKK-KEEYYYY. Avoid at all cost if you have dry skin, and soft skin around the eyes. This puppy will seep into fine lines like it's nobodies business. Maybe it's just because I have dry skin around my eyes, but even with a good moisturizer it still does not glide into the skin. I've tried every technique in the book to make this work, but to no avail. Maybe this will work better with someone who has severely oily skin but even then I can't see it working too much. The coverage is pretty great, it definitely does "camouflage" redness and spots, but the texture it creates on your skin is even more unflattering then a few red bumps. I have even tried mixing this in with ELF BB cream to create a lighter shade, but it ruins the texture into a flaky mess. If you have dry skin and are in need of a cheap concealer, save your money. -

Talk about game changer. I have never had a professional chemical peel. Although on the bucket list, my wallet just will not allow it. Pixi Beauty to the rescue. Want to know what this product does? Read the back of the box. Simply enough this mask does exactly what it says it does, only it's scary good. I remember the first time using it, I keep rinsing my face due to the fact how smooth it was I thought there was still product on my face. Unless you DON'T want your face to feel like brand new skin, then I would not suggest this product for you. I know you shouldn't touch your face because oils on your handdblahblahblah, but the Pixi peel and polish will make you face feel so soft, it's hard to keep away. I use it twice a week and immediately seal it in with a moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin, I would patch test this first because it is a chemical peel at the end of the day. Do as the box says and rub it in for 30 seconds, you skin will thank you. -

If you wear daily SPF but you suffer from burning watery eyes, more often than not it's because you're using a chemical sunscreen. I suffered from this for months before I finally made the switch the mineral suncreen. The difference between the two is that chemical will absorb the harmful sun exposure into the skin, and then reflect them back out, while Mineral suncreen will sit on top of the skin and reflect them without absorption. There is no right or wrong suncreen, which ever works best for you is what's right. Unfortunately I cannot handle chemical so I needed to make the switch. It can be difficult finding a good mineral suncreen that won't break your bank. The only downfall with mineral suncreens is that it can leave a harsh white cast on your skin, so most of the ones on the market are tinted. The Vichy fluid mineral sunscreen is a great SPF to start with. It does have a universal tint which does an incredible job at blurring your pores, gives a nice healthy glow and the coverage is almost like a sheer foundation. Because of it's foundation-like qualities, it can get greasy over time if you do not set it with a powder, and it will clog your pores if you workout or sleep with it still on your face. It comes in handy for those days where you don't want to wear any makeup, but still want to look alive and well. I bought this on sale for $28 and I feel it is a fair price for the amount of product you get, and it's performance. Because I am so fair, I would probably aim for a non-tinted mineral SPF in the future, but anyone who does not wear the lightest shade of foundation (like myself) will NEED to reach for a tinted version to avoid the white cast. Another plus is that this universal tint won't leave you looking orange and it does do a nice job of matching true to your tone. If you're looking for a quality mineral SPF, I'd say Vichy is a great product to start! -

What can I say about this product that hasn't been said already, other than if you run out of it YOU WILL REGRET IT! I haven't been able to repurchase the toner due to a recent move, but by golly is my skin screaming. I've spent HUNDREDS of dollars on high end brand that did diddaly squat for my skin. Pixi is not only affordable, but it does exactly what the bottles say they do. For the Glow Tonic in particular, it is a life saver for dry patches and dull skin. I will double cleanse my skin at night, and go in with this right after with a cotton round and you can see an instant brightness to the skin. I struggle with bad dry patches on my nose and my eyebrows, and this has got rid of them completely. What I love about Pixi as a brand is that once you're done with their products, your skin still looks fine (Maybe not as glowing, but still good.) When I used one high-end brand in particular (Lets call them Smunk Smelephant) once I would finish with their products, my skin would go back to it's usual problems, but 10 times more severe. It's nice knowing I can take breaks in between each purchase of Pixi, without worrying about looking like a reject from Michael Jacksons "Thriller" music video. If you are new to skincare, start off with a cleanser, a toner, a moisturizer, and an SPF. Once you have those down, then you can move on to a full routine. -
