My FAVORITE on the market right now is Josie Maran’s Cleansing Oil, found here: Josie Maran Cleansing Oil . I love all of her products because of their key ingredient: Argan Oil. It also contains other oils that are beneficial to the skin, such as grape seed and olive oils that have a high Vitamin E content, perfect for anti-aging and hydration and grapefruit seed oil, which also contributes to its light citrus scent, perfect for morning face washing! The key to cleansing oils is that you are not stripping your face of your natural oils, so it is great for all skin types. Yes even oily skin types, like me, can benefit from cleansing oils. By washing your face with the oil, you are sealing in all the moisture, thus not forcing your skin’s oil glands to produce an excess amount of oil, makes sense right?You will not, and I mean not, experience the suds and bubbles you get with your traditional face wash, so it will take time to get used to, you may get a slight milky emulsification, but trust that after your first use you will be hooked! When looking for a facial oil that’s right for you try to find one that has as little additives as possible, like Josie Maran’s, which only has 2 chemical additives for preservation because most oils used have a short shelf life. Be sure that you don’t have nut allergies as often companies will use nut oils as their main oil ingredient, so read the labels! -

I was on a mission, after a terrible breakout from a foundation I was using, (brandname to be undisclosed, becuase its good, just not for everyday), my skin was in desperate need of repair.
Aside from my normal regime of exfoliating and at home masks (see previous blog for that), I needed one more addition to my makeup bag. Enter Garnier BB cream.
This miracle cream boasts to do 5 thinks at once including acting as a primer and a sunscreen, evening out skintone, color correcting and hiding imperfections/dark spots. I personally noticed that even when the stuff wasnt on my face, my skin was clearer, smoother and brighter! I swear!
I must put a disclaimer here that this cream is definately not a product I would recommend to those with Oily skin types, as it can be kind of greasy itslef. I have combination skin, so it works fine for me, but if you want your makeup to have that matte look, this is not the product for you. Think more along the lines of obtaining a Jennifer Lopez-esq glow, with more of a dewy finish. You can set your BB cream with a light powder, Im using Mineralize Skin Finish by MAC to finish off my look, but you can choose any powder you like, or wear it on its own!

While most of us cannot always wear a bold lip on an everyday basis, I for one, cannot show up to the office with a coral matte hue painted on my pucker, so alas I am always drawn to tinted balms that not only give off sheen but at a kiss of color. My new obsession, and Im sure it will be yours, is Maybelline Color Whisper by Color Sensational. Advertised as a “gel” color, these delish lipstick like tubes offer an array of 20 colors from barely there pink to a berry stain that is perfect for the upcoming fall season. They are moisturizing which is a bonus for the cold months and have a refreshing minty taste, so it’s like putting on a chapstick, but with a hint of color. Note here, that you can build color with these lipsticks, at first swipe they are sheer, perfect for a day look, and a few more swishes and they can prove to be your go to lip color for a night out. Lately I have been addicted to lip products. From your basic chapstick to high end lipsticks that cost a pretty penny. On my quest to find new and innovative beauty products I came across Josie Maran’s Lip and Cheek Creamy Oil. I love that her line of products is all natural, eco friendly and contain my favorite ingredient: Argan oil! This product comes in six shades from a cherry red to a honey nude. The product goes on smooth and, you guessed it, creamy. It is not oily at all and lasts quite a while. The tint gives your lips just enough of a color wash so its perfect for day or night, and the shine is just enough to make your lips look nourished and hydrated. As the name suggests, you can apply this product to your cheeks as well, use a light hand when doing so, and blend out with your finger tips or a stippling brush. The scent to this product is very faint, but not over powering, the ingredients list the product has tangerine and orange peel oil. You can purchase this product directly from the Josie Maran website or from your local Sephora. At Sephora you also have the option of buying a duo of two colors so that you can try them both, and with this product a little goes a long way, so you get more bang for your buck! I am in love with the Josie Maran line and can’t wait to keep collecting their products! -
