The PetSmart brand Grreat Choice Multi Cat - Cat Litter is by far one of if not the best clumping cat litters I have found. It has beat out all the name brands litters I have tried over the last few years. It lasts longer than the others as well. Like the name says, it is great for a multi cat household. I have a total of 9 cats in my home, 1 is an indoor/outdoor cat but is always inside at night and the other 8 fur balls have managed to become all indoor kitties and when I use this particular cat litter, you can’t tell that I have 8 cats inside all the time. If it is scooped out like it should be at least once daily, it works wonderfully. Unlike all the other brands and types I’ve tried, it can last up to 2 weeks before needing to be completely changed out. Probably with less cats it would be very capable of lasting longer. It really does what it claims and clumps very well on all sorts of waste. Whenever ther cats dog or cover it doesn’t end up with dust flying everywhere and it covers most smells right away. It tracks a lot less than the others as well. All of my cats transferred very well and easily to using it without any issues or having to mix with the old brand I used. I’m not sure if it’s the litter itself or just that my boys have worked on their “aim” a bit but I have noticed a lot less accidents on the sides or outside of the litter boxes since switching over a few months ago as well, along with noticing that my dogs do not seem to be quite as interested in the litter box since switching which is always a bonus with large obnoxious dogs like mine! It is a great litter at a great price considering what most others cost. So far, it has always been in stock at the store and is also able to be ordered online and picked up in store or shipped to home on an as needed or auto ship basis and as far as I can remember it has always managed to come with some sort of deal or free shipping incentive whenever I have ordered it, which is really what got me to try it in the first place. I would definitely recommend it to any cat owner looking for a less expensive but effective litter for multiple cats or even just a single cat home. -

I used to be a huge Walmart fan...
That is until I decided to allow my children to get a fish tank. Of course since the one they wanted was at Walmart, that’s the one that had to be bought. Unfortunately it was not in stock anywhere in our area so I had to order it and did the site to store thing. We went and picked it up, got everything set up, filled up and decided to wait a bit to add any fish so the water conditions could be right. Not easy with 5 excited kids wanting fish. But we did it somehow, a month later and 3 catfish, 6 neon tetras, a pleco, a Betta and a few red tailed sharks later, and two days later the tank sprung a leak... the silicone around it was apparently not applied properly. So, fixed it. Got the fish settled again and even though the water was perfect we lost the catfish and somehow the tetras just disappeared... so, back to Walmart we went to attempt to replace the ones lost. I don’t know how I missed it before but every tank in the store but one had filters covered with dead fish just stuck to them. The ones not on the filter were hidden behind the black trim around the tank... I reported it to the manager, he said he didn’t realize it was like that and said he would take care of it. We went ahead and attempted to get 2 more catfish, the guy didn’t listen when trying to catch them and used a net after I specifically asked him not to, the catfish have barbs on their face that stick to things and get caught easily. Of course every one got its barbs stuck and proceeded to end up hurt in the process of removing the net and ended up belly up before the lid was put back on the tank. After that wonderful experience I decided no more fish for a bit especially not from that particular store. I was convinced to go to the next closest Walmart, and had been told it had a much better and more knowledgeable worker in the department. That was a joke. That store was worse. They even had signs up saying the tanks were out of order. They were so filthy you couldn’t see the fish in half of the tanks and the ones you could see in you regretted looking in. In 3 of them the fish that had somehow managed to survive were feeding off of the ones that hadn’t survived. These are fish that don’t normally eat anything but fish food or algae. Not exactly the type that would or should eat each other. Once again, I made a complaint. It’s really not fair to the fish to be treated and left like that even if they are just fish, still not right. Anyway, again it seems it was ignored as when I went back today for some bird seed and a bag of algae wafers for the pleco, most of the tanks were “out of order” and worse then the last time. I have officially decided that I can no longer support a store/company that can allow any living creature to be left in that state and not do a thing about it or to improve or even remove that section. If it cannot be cared for and taken care of like any of the other sections in the store, it should not be there to begin with. Yes, I know it is a big store and it can be pretty crazy starting around this time of year, but this has been a 8-9month period of time and nothing has improved even a tiny bit. I have recently been lucky enough to find a pet store somewhat close by that I didn’t know was there and have begun going their for all of my pet needs now. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be going to Walmart again for any of my families needs. It’s too crazy and hectic most days, there is never enough registers open or people in any department available to help when needed, the managers seem to not really care if the customers are happy or not most of the employees have serious attitude issues and behave as if they are put out when having to do their jobs, etc. it’s not necessarily just the fish department, but that was the last straw so to speak. I feel like, if I’m going to be going to a store or anywhere and spending the money I’ve had to work my butt off to make, the employees and especially the managers should at least try to be nice and somewhat helpful. I should not have to be made to feel like I’m interrupting their day just to be able to check out and leave. It is a big store and it does tend to have lower prices than most and it is not likely that Walmart will be going anywhere anytime soon, if ever, but sometimes you have to decide if it’s worth it to you or not to sacrifice the service you should receive and deserve when choosing a particular place to do business of any sort in exchange for that convience and lower price. Sadly, this time I have decided it really isn’t worth it to support such a place. It is very disappointing. :(
