I love hand crafted soap and often buy from local vendors at the Farmers Market in the summer. My stash had depleted so I ordered 3-4 bars off of the Well.ca website and the first one that I used was this pleasant, calming, jasmine scented bar called "We". The bar is very pretty with multiple layers of colors, the soap itself feels gentle and mild, it moisturized my skin really well, it lathers and rinses with ease and does not leave a soapy film on my skin. I tested it out and used it on my face for a few days and it did it's job, it didn't dry out my skin, but I found it too gentle for my face to remove the makeup.
Besides this soap being natural, "At Buck Naked we recognize clean water isn’t a luxury—it’s a basic human right. Therefore, a portion of every bar sold goes to WE Charity to provide access to clean water in Kenya" - quoted off their website. How great is this?!!
If you love hand made soaps, The Buck Naked Soap company makes some of the best bars, I'm eager to try out some of their other natural products.

I ordered this from ULTA, they caught my eye because they are super cute and they are totally organic. They cost around $13 for a package of 36 cute pink hearts. The work well at reducing redness and inflammation of the pimple overnight, they didn't completely zap it dead, but it was in the process. It took two nights of applying the hearts to the specific area for me the see the pimple disappear. I find they work best if applied at the first sign of the pimple starting, in this case they pretty much stop it over night from forming.
The stickers are a bit of a hassle to get off the plastic page, easier if you use tweezers and they are super sticky, so if you accidentally let the heart touch itself, you can't peel it apart and use it, you have to toss it, but since they are so sticky, they stay stuck to my face all night long. I would buy these again if the price drops, they are a bit expensive considering I need to use more than one on fully developed or stubborn pimples.

I can't drink coffee without cream, so when I ordered a box of Modere's Loqiq coffee, I knew I had to buy the creamer. You get a big tub of powdered creamer for around $55 which should yield 30 servings. For best results, follow the directions, mix 2 scoops with cold water and use a whisk, shaker bottle or blender to mix it thoroughly, then add to the coffee (Hot or cold). The creamer makes the coffee taste very rich and creamy and it's actually beneficial for you to drink. Modere is definitely a company to keep an eye on, they have created some amazing "LiveClean" products that are spreading like crazy because they actually work and their creamer is spot on.

Wowzers! This coffee blew me away, the aroma awakens my senses and just smells wonderful like fresh coffee beans. I have heard so many great things about the company Modere and was hesitant to try it, last month they had a sale on some of their wellness products, so I also grabbed a box of Logiq and their creamer. As I drink my first cup, it's like the brain fog I didn't know I had, lifted. I can think clearer and my mind is super sharp. I also have a mega boost of energy without the coffee jitters, or the side effects you get from energy drinks. I just love this stuff and it's made with 100% natural products. I was seriously missing out, my only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. -

A local young lady started her own home based business 2 years ago featuring beautiful hand made succulent arrangements. She is doing this on her own to raise some money for her upcoming university tuition. She has a wide variety of planters to fit into anyone's budget and also does larger orders for events, most recently she made close to 100 tiny atrium's for a wedding as guest favors.
Last weekend she had a workshop in her home for Mothers Day. The cost was $50 per person and you create your own planter with 4 different succulents of your choosing (there was at least 12-15 different types to choose from). We also choose our pot out of a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Once we had our plants planted, we were able to decorate the tops with a huge variety of toppings such as moss, different colored stones and sand, wood pieces, etc
We attended as a group of 4 including my mom and I. We had so much fun and it was a neat and a creative afternoon. We learned how to take care of these tiny plants, how to grow them from leaves and start the plants from seed. When we were done and were enjoying some refreshments and treats, she carefully and decoratively wrapped up our pots and included instructions and a pipette for watering them.
If you live in the Kawartha's I highly recommend this small business this young woman has created, I would certainly attend another workshop and am planning on buying arrangements for a couple upcoming birthdays.

I bought this book from Chapters, they had a few to choose from all around the $15 range, without being able to see the inside, I choose this book because the cover caught my eye. I am more of a book type person, I tried the food journal Apps but I am trying to get away from always being on my phone,
This book is easy to use, with 120 pages to record your meals, snacks and water in-take. I like that there is space at the bottom to make notes, goals and anything in general I want to write down. There is a box at the top of each page to write the date and your current weight, I don't plan on weighting myself every day and become a scale obsessed.
I like this book for it's simplicity, large print and that there is enough room to record it all, however once I have filled up the days, I likely will not buy it again. I wanted a book where I can write not only my weekly weight, but also my measurements for various body parts. For now, I am just putting a sticky note in or recording it in the note section.

I ordered the 2.0 version off of Chapters last week for around $55. This is the best invention ever and it was the best investment I've made. I used to struggle daily to drink water, I tried different water tracking apps with some success. My problem is I forget to drink it, I am so busy during the day at work that time slips away from me, and before I know it's the end of the day and I've only drank half my bottle.
With this device, it automatically tracks the ounces of water I drink, when I fill up the bottle and I am able to customize my settings for visual glowing reminders so that I drink all the water I set my goals for, between the hours I set it up for. So far I have nailed my water intake goals 5 out of 5 days and I am feeling better.
You can choose between a variety of colors, it was super easy to set up, and I came with not one, but 3 batteries!! If you struggled like me, seriously consider this gem.

I ordered off ULTA for the first time a few weeks ago and was only going to buy the sunless tanner, when this item popped up in the 'we'll think you'll love' section at the bottom. This is the first natural Korean product I have bought and am in awe at how effective it is. I am looking forward to checking out more of the DearPacker product line.
It can't be compared to a balm, it's past the balm on the rating scale in my opinion. It's thick, but not greasy, applies translucent and has a mild citrus scent, oh and it does not stain your pillow. I apply a fair amount to coat my lips and leave it on for the night. The first few nights there was nothing to wash-off in the morning, my parched lips soaked up all the product, but by day 4 or so, my chapped and flaking lips were in the past, and I noticed a bit of balm remaining in the morning. I don't use it every night now, I'm currently only using it 2x per week unless my lips are dry again.
This stuff is great, it's a bit pricey but you get 20g and I think this container is going to last me a couple of months, plus it's amazing and actually permanently cured the flakiness and chapped lips I was suffering from at the time.

I bought this a few days ago on a whim, the design on the bottle is eye catching and actually pretty cute. (I literally bought it just for that reason) Plus I have wanted to try a mousse body wash versus the regular liquid body wash I normally use.
This mousse is fantastic, you only spray out a tiny bit and it expands into a foam to cover your whole body. The mousse itself is very hydrating and I actually didn't need to put lotion on my legs after my shower. The smell is my new favorite scent, it is divine, fruity, feminine and oh so refreshing, and the beautiful scent stays with you for an hour or so afterwards.
I loved the scent so much, that I stopped into Shoppers Drug Mart on my way home from work and bought the body spray.

Marriage is hard work and they tell it like it is, what has worked and what hasn't. This book has inspired me and given me the tools to create my own 'love' story in my current relationship. I high recommend this book!!
