Thank you Butterly and PanOxyl for the opportunity to try this PM balancing renewal moisturizer. I will start off with the small con and the reason the review is 4 and not 5. It doesn’t have the most pleasant smell. It is not strong enough that I wouldn’t buy this again, I would and I would highly recommend it, but I don’t prefer how it smells. I have used this product every night and I really feel like my skin is more hydrated, smoother and my skin tone looks more even. It goes on very easy, it’s not greasy, will not clog your pores and it doesn’t irritate the skin. When I wake up in the morning, my skin looks clean and brighter with less redness and doesn’t exacerbate my acne. I feel good using a product made for acne prone skin, as I worry less that it will cause breakouts. This is a great product and if you’re looking for a good night time moisturizer to add to your regiment and you’re prone to acne(even if you aren’t), this is a must try.

Thank you Butterly and PanOxyl for letting me try this oil control moisturizer. I will say straightforward that while this seems to make a decent sunscreen with SPF 30 and UVA/UVB protection, this isn’t necessarily a product that I would use for my moisturizer everyday. While it says it’s a “lightweight, daily moisturizer”, its usage says it helps prevent sunburn and then the directions guide you to using it as a sunscreen, so it’s a little confusing and all over the place with the packaging and instructions. When using it, I definitely noticed an unpleasant sunscreen smell immediately and it does not go away quickly. It is also a little thick, like sunscreen, and takes a little bit to really absorb into the skin. Overall, I would say this is fine for a sunscreen and possibly good for someone who needs or wants a little extra oil control without clogging pores, but as a general moisturizer, this would unfortunately not be my pick.

Thank you Butterly and PanOxyl for letting me try this clarifying exfoliant. The only small con with this product is that it doesn’t particularly smell good. Thankfully it’s not too powerful, the smell doesn’t stay on your skin and it’s not enough to stop me from using it and purchasing it again in the future. Other than that, this is a great product for my daily routine. It’s 2% salicylic acid and I just dabbed it into a pad or cotton ball and applied it all over my face. You just leave it on and continue with your next steps(for example, a moisturizer). It helps clean your skin, clearing and preventing acne. A little goes a long way and it doesn’t dry out your skin. This product will be in my permanent roster and I certainly recommend it for help with pesky breakouts and acne.

Thank you Butterly and PanOxyl for letting me try Benzoyl Peroxide cream 4%. My headline says it’s a fantastic product “but…” and here is why— this product does everything it should, it one of the best for acne treatment but for me, I cannot get away from the staining. If that isn’t something you know already, benzoyl peroxide products can possibly stain(bleach) fabric or your hair and no matter how careful I am, no matter what I do, I manage to stain something. So, unfortunately, while this is one of the best products, it’s not for continued use for me. However, getting past that, it is absolutely great. It’s gentle on the skin, it helps get rid of acne quite quickly and it’s safe to use daily. You apply a light layer on your skin and 2 minutes later, you wash it off. If it doesn’t irritate your skin, you can increase your usage to 2-3 times daily. I do recommend this product, but I will also repeat that you’ll want to be careful with it so you don’t wind up staining anything.

Thank you Butterly and Neutrogena for the chance to try the ultra hydrating serum.
This is designed with dry, sensitive and acne prone skin in mind, so it had already checked a lot of boxes and I hadn’t even tried it yet. It says fragrance free and it absolutely is; there isn’t a “non scented” scent in any way. Another box checked. I used it twice daily and it goes on very easily, smoothly and it’s not greasy or sticky. It did leave my skin feeling softer and more hydrated, especially pairing it with the gel cream(though you can use it alone or pair it with your own moisturizer). Though it does say it’s “clinically proven 72-hour hydration”, I can’t really speak to that as I used it consistently, so my skin never had the chance to feel dry(which is still good). I am a person with dry skin and I felt this really helped. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

Thank you Neutrogena and Butterly for the opportunity to try this hydrating gel cream. I paired this with the hydro boost serum quite a bit, but to review it alone, I used it several times by itself so I could judge the efficacy. It’s fragrance free and does not have the “unscented” scent some other products do, so that was a great start for me. It’s intended to start off more like a cream than a gel, so while it’s leaving your face feeling hydrated, soft and smooth, it doesn’t leave it with the “wet” feeling I find gels can have. It’s also not sticky, greasy or messy in any way and goes on very nicely. It was an instant moisture boost, and I have very dry skin during the start of spring so this made my skin very happy. Normally I would use it twice daily but if I felt my skin feeling dry and tight from the weather or other makeup products, I would immediately use a little of this and my skin felt great. I absolutely recommend this, with or without the serum and this is something I plan to keep buying. Thank you Neutrogena! -

I received a sample of this to try from Butterly, which is great because I am always on the lookout for new products to help my skin, especially when it comes to blemishes. Even in my 40s, I break out and I want my skin clearer and brighter as fast as possible. What I like is that unlike the other kinds of pimple patches out there, these are specifically bigger to target a larger area and contain a spot fading complex, including vitamin C to help brighten your skin. They are very easy to apply, they aren’t overly noticeable even though they are larger, accommodate a good portion of skin(depending on the size of the blemishes of course, but I used one with 3 blemishes), they don’t dry out on your skin and they stay on very easily overnight. Because it was a sample, I received 4, and as they tend to help more in the long term(around 10 days), I can only speak to the 4 I was able to use. I did start to notice a slight difference with the redness and discoloration of my blemishes, so using it consistently may certainly make a more significant difference and impact to the skin. However, I think it would be worth giving it a try as, for me, it didn’t hurt or bother my sensitive skin in any way and there was no downside, except for not being able to give a 10+ day use review.

Thank you to Butterly and Aveeno for letting me try this age renewal serum. It is a plant based retinol alternative, which I found interesting and appealing to try. I found when using it, my skin did look brighter, even right after using it. Using it consistently, I did notice that it continued to make my skin feel and look both brighter and smoother and I noticed a small improvement in my skin’s tone. I have sensitive skin and it did not cause any dryness, redness or irritation. The only slight con is that though this is fragrance free, it had a bit of an unpleasant scent that ironically comes from products being fragrance free. However, if you’re looking for a retinol alternative that is easy to use(it’s not sticky or greasy), good for sensitive skin and does help the overall improvement of your skin, I would recommend this product to try. -

Thank you to Butterly and Aveeno for letting me try this age Renewal eye cream. Unfortunately, I don’t think this would be the product for me. While I noticed under my eyes may be a little brighter, I wouldn’t say enough for me to be wowed by it. I will say it was easy to apply, not greasy or sticky, no smell at all, and does work on sensitive skin, such as my own. It’s a very lightweight gel that does make your skin feel hydrated when you put it on. Would I recommend this? If you are looking for a retinol alternative, something completely fragrance free or want a product gentle on skin, I would still say you may want to try this product. -

Thank you Butterly and Aveeno for allowing me to try this body wash. I love the Aveeno family of products and this one is no different. It has a light lavender scent, which is very nice and I’m not even normally a fan of lavender. I was pleasantly surprised it really did have a relaxing, calming effect when using it. I really liked the pump-style bottle as you don’t have to fuss with it and 1-2 pumps is all you need. It lathers up nicely and left my body feeling soft and refreshed. It is soap free and dye free and as I have sensitive skin sometimes, it works really well with no irritations. I will continue to use this and absolutely recommend this to anyone who uses body wash. -
