I only wash my dishes with dawn. It cuts through grease and helps break up tough, stuck on food. This is what we have used in my household since so was a kid.

Tear free helped the shampooing not be painful for my babies. I still used the baby shampoo on my sensitive children as it does not harm his eyes. Anytime I make a basket for baby showers I always include this shampoo.
