I know Clinique is a reputable brand that I trust and have had success with in the past. Given the fact that I experience breakouts in some areas, yet have dry, flaky skin on my nose, I thought this product would work. It's not oil based, and comes in a gel so I figured it wouldn't clog my pores. It did deliver on that aspect and didn't cause my skin to break out, but in my very dry areas, it didn't get the job done. My skin was still flaky and dry. I am disappointed given it's a bit pricey and Clinique is usually a good brand. -

I try not to wash my hair every day, and on my non wash days, this is what I go for... It actually freshens my hair and removes any oil. It smells wonderful and it is sooo affordable. I have tried soooo many different dry shampoos and so far the only other product I have found that compares is 5 times the price. I will be sticking with Batiste. -

I recently began filling in my brows after years of over-plucking (I am a child of the 80s and 90s .... ). I read reviews about the Anastasia of Beverly Hills line on Sephora and decided to give it a try. It is pricier than other lines out there, but worth every penny. This product stays in place all day and doesn't melt off my face. I use 3 products from their line (Brow whiz, brow definer and dip pomade, but not necessarily all together). It can achieve both a natural, or a defined look and goes on easily. My brows look perfect every time. I love the variety of colours they have and the brush on the end is great quality. -

Many years ago, I used to purchase a mousse full coverage foundation from Estee Lauder that made my skin look like it was airbrushed. I was so disappointed about a year ago when I went to purchase some (after dealing with bad breakouts that nothing else seemed to cover up) and found out the line had been discontinued. I was told by the woman working at the Beauty Boutique that the Double Wear line was the most full coverage foundation that Estee Lauder carried. I purchased the foundation but was a bit hesitant given that I find that liquid foundations are never truly full coverage. I was wrong. This is the by far the best foundation for achieving a matte, full coverage look out there. NARS has a line that is comparable, but not quite as effective as this one. It truly does last all day when paired with a good primer and I don't even need to use concealer to mask my problem areas. This product actually covers everything. -

Even though I am in my 30's, I still get fairly bad breakouts, especially on my chin. I was finding I was getting a lot of cystic pimples and there was literally nothing that worked. I had prescriptions from the doctor for harsh spot treatments, tried multiple products. I stumbled upon a review of the Murad line and decided to try the 30 day kit out. I was so pleasantly surprised. So far it has been the only thing that has kept the cystic pimples at bay. While I do still tend to get breakouts, they are no where near what I was dealing with. The 30 day kit actually does last 30 days, in fact, the only item have fully used up within the month is the face wash. The rest is enough to last longer. The only downside is that while they stop pimples from appearing, it is a tad drying and I find that I have to purchase very hydrating moisturizers for my nose and chin. -

I tend to shy away from shaving throughout the winter months as my legs are pretty much covered up and because my skin dries easily when shaving regularly. I was very intrigued to try the Gillette Venus Platinum razor just as spring is around the corner. I will admit, there was quite a lot of hair to get through when I used the razor, and it didn’t disappoint. My legs were left feeling silky mouth. I also tend to cut myself almost every time I shave, but this time I didn’t because of the advanced handling of the razor given the metal handle which allowed for more control. I found that around areas like my knees and ankles, which are usually troublesome spots where I miss hairs, this razor worked great, I didn’t miss anything. Another thing I really liked about this razor was the 5 blades – most tend to come with 3 and I found the extra 2 really made a huge difference in how smooth my legs felt afterward. -
