The Oral-B Clic manual toothbrush with replaceable brush heads is the perfect compromise between the standard manual toothbrush and the electric toothbrush with replaceable brush heads.
I have always been hesitant to buy an electric toothbrush because of the environmental footprint. At the same time, tossing out a manual toothbrush every month and adding all of that waste to landfills is not ideal either. The Oral-B Clic manual toothbrush with replaceable brush heads is the perfect “in between” solution. The body is a sturdy metal and silicone construction that can stand up to years of use. The brush heads are also well made and can last up to three months (assuming typical twice-daily brushing). When the head gets old, it can be popped off and replaced with a fresh one. Since only the head gets thrown away, and it only needs to be replaced as few as four times a year, the amount of waste is greatly reduced.
The biggest adjustment is that the toothbrush is a bit heavier than a traditional manual toothbrush and the initial investment is greater than for a traditional manual toothbrush. However, it takes less than a year for the investment to pay off both in cost and in reduced waste. I’m loving this toothbrush!

It’s easily diluted, mixes well with other ingredients such as coconut oil, salt, sugar, or whatever your castile soap recipe calls for. No need for harsh, persistent chemicals that harm the environment; castile soap is like the genie in the bottle when it comes to cleaning solutions. If it is safe enough to put directly on your skin, you know it’s safe on your clothes or your dishes!
