Year after year, I find myself returning to Kicking Horse! I will deviate and try a local brand but realize I do not love them as much as Kicking Horse's distinctive, consistently well-roasted brands. The flavours of all their roasts are complex, nuanced, and balanced. As a rule, Kicking Horse leans towards the acidic side, so it does well with some milk or creamer. -

This is my go-to heavy duty sunscreen. I only apply it for full days outside when I know I will be in the sun. I have sensitive, dry-leaning skin that has a tendency to react to scents and heavier sunscreens. This did not irritate my skin at all and wore very well under my makeup - it actually feels more like a primer once it has been applied.
The only minor downside is that it does give me a bit of a weird white cast, which is impressive, as I am fairly fair complexioned. However, this is easily adjusted with bronzer and foundation.

I purchased this product a few months ago, but only started wearing it recently - not makeup needed during covid! I was excited because I love Tarte makeup and had heard great reviews. Unfortunately, the best I can say is "it's not bad." I do like the shape of the brush, and how easy it is to get full coverage, but this does absolutely nothing different than drug store mascara. I also find that it tends to smudge along my upper eyelid while I'm putting it on, which can be a pain if you're in a rush.
I will use the rest of my product, but it is too expensive to repurchase for the results I got.

I was excited when I saw Aveeno's new line of hair product as I love their skin care. After debating, I splurged and dropped the 9.00 dollars on the apple cider shampoo. I routinely use more natural shampoos, but this made my hair really weird - simultaneously soft, frizzy, and yet still greasy. Massively disappointed - I ended up giving it away after three uses. To be fair, the friend I gave it to loves it (thus the stars), but it's not for me.
Didn't try the conditioner - maybe that's better?

It doesn't leave a tacky finish and unlike some overnight treatments, you don't end up with a greasy pillow. I've really seen some good improvements in my skin! -
