| Hi, andthenjenn. My dermatologist advised me to use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer while using Clindoxyl. He'd suggested Cetaphil and Neutrogena's fresh foaming cleanser. But, I decided to just use the Lancome Gel Clarte I had on hand. It turned out to be a bit too drying. And my skin became really dull even though the blemish situation had improved. So, I switched to Lancome's Blanc Expert Purifying Foam (approx. $50 CAN), which worked out well. The texture is like a mix of milk and foaming cleanser. IMO, it captures quite nicely the benefits of both - moisturizing quality of a cleansing milk and the clean feeling of a foaming face wash. A bit steep in price, but, you only need a little to get a lot of foam. As for moisturizer, I use H2O's oasis line. It's a nice neutral choice. You need to wait for the Clindoxyl to dry before lightly patting on the moisturizer. One very important issue though is that you must wear sunscreen during the day because your skin will be more prone to sun damage. For that I usually just use Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen. Definitely try to stay out of the sun as much as possible. |
