I love Caribbean food, and one of my favorite places to go is The Real Jerk in Toronto. I've gone there several times and loooove the food. My favorites are curry goat or the jerk chicken with rice and peas and their coleslaw. Yum! We went there on Saturday night and it was really busy so we had to wait quite a while for the food. Lots of people were waiting for take-out as well, but it was worth the wait. Price is based on 2 meals, one beer and one mango juice. Please try this place at least once if you live in Toronto :) -

The Globe Bistro focuses on a seasonal and select menu, incorporating local and organic foods. The ambiance was lovely, I believe that they have just renovated or moved here. Nice for a romantic meal. It was fairly pricey for the amount of food that you get - especially their fish dish which my fiance had. I had the 8 oz sirloin steak, it was very good but it seemed to be way more than 8 oz! He ended up finishing it for me. The Globe seems to be a bit more about style than substance. However, our waiter was very knowledgeable and the food came quickly. The greeter/reservation girl seemed a little over the top with her friendliness though. I wouldn't go here all the time, but it's nice for a rare occasion. This price is based on 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a bottle of wine. -

I ended up going here a couple of times for my appointment (the first time they had a power outage & had to re-book) so I ended up meeting a lot of the people who work there. They are all really nice & proffessional, and I felt really comfortable there. Everything was clean & tidy. George did my tattoo and explained everything fully and it took way less time than I expected. -

My man took me out for a lovely dinner at the Rosewater on a Friday. The wait staff were excellent, very informed and always on top of things.
We tried their dinner for two - It is a selection of various menu items (a great way to get an idea of their capapbilities!) We also got two appetizers, which were pretty small in portion size but i didn't expect them to be any larger. Size doesn't always matter, taste does. Everything tasted very fresh and all the meat was perfectly cooked. The food also came faster than I expected.
Their wine list seemed pretty impressive, with a good range of varities and prices. We ordered a bottle of French Wine, Red - the waiter's reccomendation was excellent.
I would go there again!
