If you’re looking for an all-natural lip balm with a lipstick-angled style that leaves moisture, not a greasy film on your lips, Softlips PURE Natural Lip Balm in the Citrus is worth investing in. Let me tell you why!
Like previous reviewers, the packaging and the lip balm itself isn’t only aesthetically pleasing but allows you easy application. The packaging isn’t bulky or overly complicated; it’s white with simple lettering that is easy to remember. The angled finish of the lip balm is reminiscent of lipstick and thus allows you to coat your lips completely and evenly with this product.
This was a plus for me, as I hate lip products with flat shapes. I usually have to pull out a mirror to make sure that each inch of my lips are covered and that I have no excess products crusting around the edges of my lips. I didn’t have to worry about excess with this product. It applied smooth like transparent but glossy butter. I could build coverage and still not worry about my lips turning an unflattering, ghostly white. Nor did I have to worry about it becoming heavy. It stayed light. Another plus is that it didn’t drag and leave small shavings of product and it didn’t feel like I was wearing sticky wax.
Out of the three scents, Citrus is a winner! I think it was a great idea to incorporate the scent of citrus in this balm as it reinforces the fresh factor. I also think that the Citrus gives this lip balm a bit of a punch because the plain packaging could be a little boring. However, the scent isn't loud so you don't have to worry about the scent being too overpowering.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t contain any sun protection or SPF. After reading how many people neglect their lips when it comes to protecting their skin, I would have liked this balm more if it had a SPF of 15, as most dermatologists recommend that you have at least this amount. Brownie points if along with the all-natural ingredients, it contained a SPF of 30 . Still, this makes an awesome lip primer/base for lipstick and lip gloss.

However, upon my first inspection of this product, I caught a very slight scent – it was like taking a diluted whiff of Elmer’s Glue! Thankfully, when I applied this, it didn’t taste like anything, especially not glue! I'm just happy that the other two lip balms have scents that aren't off-putting.

I read that Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation was a total dupe for Lancome's Magique Matte Soft-Matte Perfecting Mousse Makeup (Paula Begoun's Dont' Go to the Makeup Counter Without Me). I purchased it in Toffee, which is Dark 0. I applied it over Monistat Chafing Relief Powder Gel and it blended really well. I loved the whipped, airy texture. I remember that it felt silky smooth and I was able to achieve medium coverage even though I prefer full coverage. I made the mistake of not exfoliating and not applying enough moisturizer before I applied this foundation so some dry spots that I had were blatantly noticeable. Thank God I didn't wear this outside! This foundation comes in 16 shades so finding a match should be easy, if not easier. -

I bought this at a mini Navy Nex a while back. I snagged Pearl Plum and for the most part I thought it was ok. The gloss is highly pigmented with color and sparkles but it doesn't last as long. Also, it's a bit sticky and has a nice shine. It doesn't leave my lips dry but it does leave behind sparkles which is unflattering. However, I loved the dark purple/fuchsia color. -

I purchased Milani Minerals Eye Shadow Compacts for $3.49 each at Walgreens. I picked up Shock, Illusion, Atlantis and Storm. Out of all the colors, I find myself using Shock, a vibrant sparkly purple, more than the other three. Why? Because it's really pigmented and a total dupe for M.A.C.'s Stars N Rockets. The others? Not so much to my surprise! I was disappointed because Atlantis (a sparkly ocean blue) wasn't as pigmented as I has hoped. Illusion (a sparkly pale pink with flecks of gold) is a great highlighting color for the brow bone or all over the lid. I've read that Java Bean is a nice pigmented grown for a brown smokey eye but I have yet to try it myself. Btw, the sparkles are only on the top layer, not throughout the eyeshadow. If you were hoping for sparkles thru and thru, this will disappoint. If you have a limited budget, you might want to consider these colors:
Milani Illusion: Bare Escentuals Cupcake Glimpse, Clinique Strawberry Fudge (pink), MAC Little Madame
Milani Java Bean: Bare Escentuals Queen Tiffany, L'Oreal HIP Saucy, MAC Mulch, MAC Sable
Milani Clover: Bare Escentuals Socialite glimmer, MAC Dementhe, MAC Humid
Milani Flare: Cargo Nepal
Milani Spice: Laura Mercier Cognac, MAC Banshee
Milani Sun Goddess/Milani Desert Sun: L'Oreal HIP Saucy, MAC Amber Lights
Milani Shock: MAC Nocturnelle
Milani Storm: MAC Black Tied
Milani Almondine: MAC Brule
Milani Atlantis: MAC Electric Eel
Milani Limbo Lime: MAC Guacamole
Milani Peachy Peach: MAC Jest
Milani Garden Mist: MAC Juxt
Milani Classic Beige: MAC Nylon
Milani Enchantment: MAC Parfait Amour
Milani Silver Bullet: MAC Perverted Pearl
Milani Taffy: MAC Pink Freeze, MAC Pink Source, MAC Pink Venus
Milani Icy Plum: MAC Shale
