I also had the pleasure of shopping at Mimosa on Robson Street. They have plenty of super-cute stuff and it's a store that is affordable. I was able to find a ton of very nice earrings for my sensitive ears (I am allergic to nickel and most costume earrings).
If you are in the downtown Vancouver area, defintely check it out! Their sale might be still on... ;)

I had the chance to try the eye gel too. I liked it a lot for the most part. I found that it soothed the eye area and felt really nice especially after a long day. It also is a great base for concealer if you think that a cream is too thick for the daytime.
Like the other reviewers, I liked how it absorbed quickly on the eye area. It left the area feeling quite soft.
I am still unsure of whether or not I would buy this again, partially because I am not sure if I am at the stage where I need an eye gel yet. I think I would need to continue using it for another few weeks to see it if it a buy-it-again product.

I must admit though, I would NEVER buy this body wash. It is way too steep for me. I find that there are plenty of other body washes that do the same job that are 1/5 of the price. Still, I think this makes a good gift for friend (ultra cute packaging!) and for its high end quality.

After graduating university my gym membership on campus had expired. I had to start looking at health clubs around my area.
I decided to try out Goodlife Fitness. What I liked was I found the facility to be very clean and had great workout equipment. Most of the cardiovascular machines have televisions hooked up to them to make your workout seem to go by faster.
One thing that struck me about Goodlife is that the staff are very friendly. They always know your name and greet you when you walk through the door. I was also able to try out a few of their fitness classes. The fitness instructors are also very enthusiastic about exercise and motivating (in a positive way).
Because Goodlife is a large chain of gyms they do have those initial deals (ex. pay only 30 cents enrollment fee on a one year membership -- the one right now) to get you to commit to a 1 year contract. The woman went through all of the fees with me. There are different ones for regular adult, student and corporate. I found that the fees were actually cheaper or comparable to many other gyms I had been to before (minus my campus gym, because that's made for students!).
Be aware however, that there are certain locations in downtown Toronto where they only have Platinum memberships for those particular locations. They cost more than the regular ones but have extra benefits.
Like all health club memberships, they become more "worth it" depending on how often you go. The thing is, when people first join they like to have the idea that they will go very often in order to get the best bang for their buck. But as the year progresses, many people do stop going or will end up not visiting as often. I think when it comes down to choose a membership, you must keep in mind your commitment level to exercise. If you really want to commit to a workout regime and know that you will work hard enough to reach your goals, then committing to a contract will probably benefit you more mentally and physically rather than robbing your wallet financially.
Even though I was not ready to commit to them at the time (I am currently very mobile) the woman did not pressure me to join. She understood and said that she hoped that maybe I would join another day in the future.
When the time comes for me to get a full membership at a health club I will keep Goodlife in mind.

The compact comes with a shade for the brows and a brow gel to tame them. it also comes with 2 flat brushes (one slanted), a small mirror and tweezers. Overall I think it is pretty good quality for the price.
I like how I can build up the amount of colour that I want. The brow gel is also great at setting them. The product does look like it's going to run out anytime soon. But when it eventually does.. I would definitely buy this again.

Reading the reviews of this lip balm, I actually did not mind the citrus scent. It makes me feel a little more refreshed when I put it on, even though it does not taste anything like citrus.
I like that the product is made with all natural ingredients. It makes me feel good to know that the lip balm that I am "eating" does not have any chemicals or artificial ingredients in it. It's also easy to put on... like a lipstick.
But I found that it's not the most moisturizing lip balm that I've ever tried. It comes off easily... and I had to re-apply it often.
I'm not sure if I would buy this again. I'm not sure if it beats my Burt's Bee's Lip Balm...

I have found that the food and service here often borders between just ok and excellent. I find it to be somewhat inconsistent at times. It depends on when you go during the day or whether or not they are really busy. But overall, I think this place is pretty good. The other night I was here with family and we had a really great time. The food was outstanding and the service was great.
One thing that I really like here is the ambiance and the price. The interior is very nicely decorated and the prices are pretty reasonable.
They have another location on Finch Ave and Bayview Ave - I have never been there. But I definitely will continue coming back to the Thornhill location. It's one of my favourite sushi places in the area.

I came here last night with my sister and cousins for a night of ice cream fun. I have heard so much about Marble Slab Creamery... I finally got the chance to try it out!
The way it works is they have a variety of homemade ice creams. You choose the ice cream you want (you can also get more than 1 flavour if you like). And then you choose a mixin which can be anything from rainbow sprinkles to Kit Kat pieces to strawberries. They mix it all together and put it into a cup or a cone. You can choose from a variety of handmade waffle cones or bowls. Some are dipped in chocolate and/or sprinkles.
The ice cream here combined with the mixin is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had cheesecake and white chocolate with Skor and M&M;mixins. It was sooo good.
What I love about the place is not only the ice cream but the variety of flavours you can mix. It is hard to get the same thing twice (unless you want to) and it's so tasty!
The owner of this location in Thornhill is the mother of a girl that I went to high school with. They are a very nice family and know how to run a business. Marble Slab has not yet opened a location yet in Toronto, but it is in the works.
They are open pretty late and they also get really busy. You will also pay more than average for ice cream... it is around $5-6 CDN for the original size. But it is so worth it.

This one did not work for me. I found that although it had lengthened my lashes, it left them quite sparse. They looked like spider legs. My lashes are sparse to begin with, and it did not make them any fuller. I tried really hard but putting on many coats, but they just got more spider-like. At least it did make them longer!
Still I will not by buying this one again. The complementary colours of yellow and purple work really well in drawing your eye to the product on the shelves. It's well-designed packaging. Though it is what's inside that counts the most and that did not live up to the packaging.
