I bought this because I was getting a new tattoo and I only ever use LUSH products on my precious ink.
Honestly, every tattoo artist will tell you something different, but the key is you want as little chemicals as possible going into the wound and possibly diluting the ink. And the wonderful thing about Ultrabalm is that it isn't chemical at all. It only has FOUR ingredients.
Using this product, my tattoo was healed within ONE WEEK. It's like a miracle cream. It doesn't sting, burn, itch, or irritate.
I made my mom use it when she got her first tattoo and I will only ever use this on my future ones.

EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK.
A story about a young girl who committed suicide and the exploration behind why she did it.
In a society where mental illness and suicide has such a stigma, people often shy away from speaking about this topic and even thinking about it. That has got to change. This book encourages people to think about the effect their actions may have on someone, how we may not realize that we deeply impact people in ways we cannot change.
As someone who has struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, this book touched me very deeply.

I love the whole flakie movement, so I when I saw the display, I couldn't resist. Without a word of lie, this is the worst polish I have ever tried in my life.
First of all, even getting the bottle open was a struggle. I had to use pliers.
The purple creme polish looked nice in the bottle, but on my nails was gloomy and blah. The worst shade of purple I own. But I was still hopeful, the flakies still looked promising. But they were even worse. The flakie polish was ridiculously thick and there were hardly any flakies that made it onto my nails, even after I tried fishing them out. Without shaking, there were an obnoxious amount of air bubbles.
No matter how many coats of top coat I used, I couldn't get a smooth finish. The flakies insisted on warping and leaving a jagged edge on top of the nail.
And after all that hard work, the effect was nothing special. I'll be selling my bottle at my garage sale because I would never use this again.

When I was looking for somewhere to get my first tattoo, a friend of mine recommended the Arthouse. I had done a lot of research about what to look for in a tattoo parlour, but was extremely nervous and had no idea what to expect.
All I can say is, I am so glad I chose to get my first tattoo done here. And I as long as I am in Calgary, I will never ever go anywhere else. I've gotten three other pieces done since then and I haven't been disappointed.
I've used four of their artists and each one of them was a pleasure to work with. They were kind, extremely knowledgeable and skilled, and they each put my mind at ease. The very first artist I had work on me (I've forgotten his name) was especially wonderful - being a newbie to body art, he reassured me about the pain and told me that ten minutes in, I'd be thinking about what I wanted next. I didn't believe him at the time, but boy was he right!
The atmosphere is lovely, extremely hygienic, and comfortable. They were very welcoming, even encouraging, of my sisters coming back with me to hold my hand and comfort me.
They charge an $80 deposit/base rate that is applied to the overall fee if you are doing a longer sitting. I've found their prices extremely reasonable and it was absolutely worth every penny.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. In fact, I wish they had a referral program because I encourage anyone and everyone I know who is thinking of getting a tattoo to go there!

I consider myself to be pretty skilled at nail art and I had a lot of trouble using this polish. I think it was that the magnet wasn't strong enough to really bring out the design. And it's not even an interesting design at that - and it's the only one available, unlike China Glaze that offers a variety of magnet designs.
The colors are nothing special - there was only one I liked.
For a magnetic polish, it wasn't exceedingly thick and it applied quite well and was surprisingly smooth to the touch even without a top coat. The wear time was excellent - it lasted for about a week with hardly any chipping.
