I received Zoomer Playful Pup gratis in exchange for my honest review...and whew! Now my kids have the puppy they’ve always wanted without the mess or hassle of a real one ;) In all seriousness, this robot puppy happens to be a lot like a real dog, and as it’s name suggests, it’s also got a lot of energy/is super playful. Both my children, ages 5 and nearly-8, love Zoomer. The pup comes wonderfully packaged (like a real electronic). This is a substantial “toy.” When you get it out of the box, Zoomer does need to be charged via USB (in either a computer or outlet with USB port). I really liked the fact that this toy doesn’t require batteries- as most parents may attest- I sometimes feel like changing toy batteries should be my full-time profession. Zoomer charged rather quickly- I estimate in or around 30 minutes. Then, it was time to turn the puppy on and play! And play we did.
Here’s what we learned from our family’s play experience:
1) Read the instructions and keep the instruction “cheat sheet” card for commands and such. It shouldn’t take very long to review, but there are important tips and notes that should be followed for the ultimate play experience.
2) As the instructions mention, low pile carpet is def better than wood or tile floors so Zoomer doesn’t slip or bang around. We tried him out on all 3.
3) While my children have had lots of fun with Zoomer, he seems to understand when an adult gives commands better than when my children do so. This is not surprising to me since I sometimes have trouble understanding my kiddos. This doesn’t have a huge impact on playing with Zoomer since he’s always active and entertaining.
4) Remember that “cheat sheet” I mentioned? Well it’s actually a Quick Start Guide and has commands on it/specific tricks Zoomer can do. It has taken a bit for my kids to remember the specific commands, as well as get to know everything the pup can do. We’ve been playing with Zoomer for days, and I feel like we still have much more to explore with the pup!
5) My kids loved playing with Zoomer so much from the get-go (so did my husband and I)! Unfortunately, the charge ran out after 20-30 minutes of straight play. We just plugged Zoomer back in and got busy with him again a bit later. We do wish Zoomer held a charge for longer, but that doesn’t mean he’s not completely entertaining for the entire time he’s charged! And as I said earlier, yay for charging as opposed to batteries!!
6) Zoomer seems to have my 5 year old’s full attention days after receiving him! My nearly-8-year-old still plays with him but not quite as much/often as my 5 year old.
All in all, Zoomer is a wonderful addition to our family. I love that he’s hypoallergenic, super friendly/entertaining, does his “business” with no mess, and has an off switch.
More like a pet robot than a toy, I believe the retail price is totally fair for all Zoomer does!

We received Twisty Pets gratis in exchange for our honest review. We are so glad we did! My 5 year old daughter really enjoyed these. The packaging is cute. We received a 4 Pack (2 puppies and 2 kitties) with a charm and little jewelry box that doubles as a pet bed.
Right away, my daughter grabbed the little animals and easily untwisted them to make bracelets. The animals pop into one another with ease to make jewelry (bracelets). We hit a bit of a snag when turning the bracelet parts back into pets. It’s not an intuitive process at all, so make sure you keep the instructions. That being said, once my husband and I gave it a shot (again with the instructions), we were able to get the bracelets back into pet form in no time!
My daughter has been wearing one bracelet all day and playing with the other 3 as pets for a while now. The pets will sometimes untwist to bracelet form again while she’s playing, and my daughter can’t get them back into pets on her own. I’d say this is definitely something parents will need to help with when it comes to the younger kids. But that’s OK, I’m now a pro at it (after doing this once with instructions, it’s super easy and takes mere seconds).
Anyhow, I think this is a cute toy. I like that there’s more than one use (jewelry and toy). My daughter loves it. And I do think it would make a great gift for girls ages 4-10.

This was the second Hatchimal I bought my children. Every year since they’ve been released, my kids beg for the Hatchimal of the hour, and go nutso cracking it open. I was sure the Peacat twins would have a longer-lasting play effect than the single Hathcimals from the year before. All I know is that after they hatch, my kids put the Hatchimals on a shelf. And that’s that. I’m not sure these are worth the hefty price tag. After two attempts (times 2 kids)- so 4 Hatchimals total including these Peacats- I think we are done with Hatchimal purchases. Cute for a bit, but if my kids want to crack anymore eggs open, they can start by making breakfast!! -

I’m pretty cheap. So, I refused to buy Dawn for a long time since the price was higher than other brands. Then recently, my local store was having a sale. After years of hearing the hype, I figured I’d try Dawn. The first thing I noticed was how amazing it smelled! Sounds silly, but that was something that struck a positive chord with me. Then, and most importantly, I learned how a little of this stuff goes a long way (Do I sound like a commercial??!! Well, it’s true). I don’t know if I’d clean oil off a duck with this product like you see on TV , but I can attest to the fact that it’s much easier to get grease and food grime off dishes without instense scrubbing. It’s really worth the money compared to cheaper brands. -

My son has been collecting these Paw Patrol figurines for a few years. Even though he’s 8 now, he still takes them out to play. Today in fact, these came to the bus stop with us. Last night, they were in the bathtub (I’m pretty sure that’s not the intended use, but they held up well after water exposure). It’s a simple product based on a popular show. I’m all for toys that do not do much more than inspire imaginations. If your child likes Paw Patrol, this will likely be a crowd pleaser. -

Shoppies are one of my daughter’s latest obsessions. She loves the dolls and their accessories. These dolls are so cute/pretty. We have tons of those little shopkins figurines sitting in bins and now, my daughter’s Shoppies can make use of them! Plus, thanks to the size (much shorter than a 12” Barbie), these Shoppies can live and go shopping in my daughter’s dollhouse. We will be buying more! -

I bought this for my daughter who is obsessed with Ariel and The Little Mermaid. My daughter uses her Ariel in and out of the bath. It’s always nice when a toy can be taken into the water, especially when it’s a mermaid. The fact that my daughter can safely play with this toy in the bath without ruining it, is a huge plus for a water and land princess. My daughter is able to reenact her favorite scenes almost anywhere we go (even the pool)- further reinforcing imaginative play. I think the price is fair. It’s a nice addition to my daughter’s Disney princess collection. We liked it so much out of the box, we already bought another for a gift! -
